ASSOCIATED BRITISH FOODS INVESTMENTS PLC

NOTIFICATION OF THE CANCELLATION OF LISTED LOAN STOCK OF ABF INVESTMENTS PLC ("
THE COMPANY")

The Board of ABF Investments plc announces that its 51/2 per cent and 71/2 per
cent Unsecured Loan Stock 1968/2002 ("the Stock") fall due for redemption
pursuant to the terms of that Stock on 25 March 2002.  Holders of the Stock will
be entitled to receive the nominal amount of such Stock together with the
accrued interest to 25 March 2002.

A notice of redemption will be sent to the holders of the Stock on or before 8
March 2002.  The register of stockholders will be closed to transfers with
effect on and from 5p.m. on 15 March 2002.

ABF Investments plc intends to apply to the UK Listing Authority and the London
Stock Exchange plc for the cancellation of both the official listing and the
admission to trading of the Stock with effect from the close of business on 25
March 2002.
