                          Issue of new ordinary shares

The board of Horizon Technology Group plc (the "Company"), a leading system
integrator and distributor of information technology products in the UK and
Ireland, announces that it has issued 788,647 new ordinary shares of 7c each as
deferred consideration in respect of the acquisition of WBT Systems Limited,
originally announced by the Company on 4 August, 2006. Of these, 3,465 new
ordinary shares have been issued to Paul Kenny, a non-executive director of the
Company.

Application has been made to the Irish Stock Exchange and to the UK Listing
Authority for these new ordinary shares to be admitted to the Official List of
the Irish Stock Exchange and to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority
and application has been made to the Irish Stock Exchange and to the London
Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to trading. Such admission is
expected to become effective and dealings to commence in these shares on 20
February, 2007.

Following this issue, the total number of ordinary shares of 7c each in issue at
the date of this notice is 82,171,568.
