Down in the small-caps there weren't many hiding places. However, there were one or two bright spots - the clothing wholesaler Hitchens Group continued to attract buyers on the back of Tuesday's placing on AIM that raised £2.3m of new funds. The company will use the proceeds to fund acquisitions in the retail sector - and traders remain impressed that the float was successful in the current gloom. The shares nudged another 0.7p better to 3.25p.

mid-price creeps up between reported trades
a sure sign IMO that other trades are being filled in the background
eg a delayed buy or two, from the open

Just gone onto their HOTDEAL website.

A folding chair is advertised at £4.99. a similar chair (looks identical) from Amazon £4.93 to £5.47

However the shipping calculater on HOTDEAL can't calculate the postage "at this time" so in order to arrive at the shipping cost I did a dummy run but stopped at the cash out becuase it wanted all my personal details before proceeding and still without knowing the postage cost.

The savings could easily be swallowed up by postage so get your act together Hitchin, I need to know the postage before giving you any personal details.
