("HCEG" or the "Company")


In the announcement made on 3 February 2006 and the circular posted to
shareholders on that date (the "Circular"), the Company announced that it wished
to effect a change to the rules of the Option Scheme to allow flexibility for up
to 13 per cent. of the Company's share capital to be put under option (excluding
Rollover Options and Options granted prior to the Option Scheme being adopted on
10 March 2003).  This would be an increase from the present limit of 10 per
cent.  This modification requires the approval of shareholders by ordinary
resolution at the EGM.  Following further review the Company has decided to
reduce the proposed new limit from 13 per cent to 11 per cent.


The ordinary resolution to approve this amendment to the Option Scheme will be
proposed at the EGM on 28 February.  The form of the resolution will not change.
Capitalised terms used in this announcement bear the same meanings as in the
Circular.
