                           Notification of Interests

Following the acquisition of 2,083,333 Ordinary Shares in EIE PLC, or 3.99% of
that company's issued share capital in EIE, the amount of 384 Ordinary Shares,
or 40% of the issued share capital in Barnard Castle Limited and a further 70
Ordinary Shares, or a further 7.29% of the issued share capital in Steinbeck
Limited, which resulted in aggregate in the issue of 23,671,870 new ordinary
shares of 1p each the Company, the board of Directors of Hanover announce that
the following companies now also hold 3% or more of Hanover Capital Group Plc:
