Below is a pharagraph I cut from Investors Chronicle.Current sales at Hamleys are up 23 per cent. This is remarkable, even taking into account that sales were down this time last year, following the 11 September induced tourist slump. But chairman Simon Burke is keen that investors should not get carried away. "We don't need a bonanza Christmas in order for us to meet our full-year targets," he says. Teather & Greenwood is predicting full-year, pre-tax profits of £6m (£4.1m last year) and EPS of 17.9p (14p). |
