                       ("Griffin Group" or "the Company")

                     Sale of shares in Firenze Ventures plc

The Board of Griffin Group announces that on 19 October 2005 Griffin Two
Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, sold its short term
investment of 15,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.5p each in the capital of Firenze
Ventures plc ("Firenze Ordinary Shares"), an Ofex traded investment company, at
a price of 3.7p per Firenze Ordinary Share for a total cash consideration of
#555,000 before costs. Following this sale, Griffin Group, and the entities
under control of the Griffin Group, no longer has an interest in Firenze
Ordinary Shares.

The sale proceeds will be retained by Griffin for the further development of its
UK corporate finance operation.
