          Board Appointment


The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Vince Nicholls as Finance
Director of Griffin Group, plc. Mr. Nicholls qualified as a Chartered Accountant
in 1983 and has extensive experience with AIM listed companies in various
industry sectors. Mr. Nicholls also has experience in the US financial markets
and accounting practices.

Mr. Stephen Dean stated "We are delighted that Vince has agreed to join Griffin
and look forward to his assistancewith our growth plans in both the US and UK."

In the last 5 years Mr Nicholls, FCA (44) has been or continues to be a director
or partner of the following companies or entities:

Mr Nichols resigned as a director of CTS (Holdings) PLC within the twelve months
preceeding that company's insolvent liquidation in May 1999.
