(AIM:GLBM.L) ("Globe" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas A. Danjczek, aged 62, as a non-executive director to the Board effective March 16, 2009. Mr. Danjczek is President of the Steel Manufacturers Association that consists of 36 North American companies that operate 128 steel plants and employ approximately 48,000 people. He was born September 8, 1947. After graduating Villanova University as a mechanical engineer, Mr. Danjczek went on to earn a Masters in Industrial Management at Purdue University. Mr. Danjczek then commenced an active career in the steel industry. After thirteen years with Bethlehem Steel Corporation and Kaiser Steel Corporation, in 1983 he joined Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation as an executive. Since 1998 Mr. Danjczek has presided over the Steel Manufacturers Association. Alan Kestenbaum, Executive Chairman said "We are pleased to have Tom Danjczek join our board. His depth and substantial experience with the steel industry, which is an important and ever growing customer segment, will be of particular importance as Globe continues to expand its business footprint."
