11/3/2010 17:00 | This Ball is still in Play. ;-)) | isis
11/3/2010 16:11 | GVC has been higher and LNG has been much lower so there are many points on a chart over the last two years when I invested in both that will show each to have been a very good investment but my point was about the fact you stated both managements had extracted huge sums for themselves whereas I stated that was only the case at GVC ! I did not raise the subject in the first place it was you. | davidosh
11/3/2010 16:10 | egoi, Hey, be fair, i'm ramping gold! not dodgy AIM stocks! | ldmachin
11/3/2010 16:06 | everyone trying to spend gg's money for him! I think this thread should be renamed, something like rampers united, but we can't quite decide which stock to ramp yet..... ;-) | egoi
11/3/2010 15:43 | davidosh, Now, now... we don't want to bring all this on the lovely GLD thread. Suffice to say, GVC have delivered incredible shareholder value for me... i have received over 40% of my initial investment back in dividends in a mere few years and can look forward to a stonking dividend in May too (50c+ a share!!!) + a company that, in a couple of years, will be generating even more cash via it's exponential growth plans for 2010/11. They have received a takeover bid in the last couple of years too... so, you can bet with the £ going to the dogs that they will be taken out on the cheap soon. LNG have delivered... no shareholder value what-so-ever! But, they have got a nice list of litigation issues now: potential U.S. DoJ fine, potential litigation required for the EBT, Palermo F.C. sponsorship litigation, U.S. software patent litigation... ... the shareprice isn't constantly in the gutter, despite 500%-1000% gains on other stocks in the same period, for no reason. | ldmachin
11/3/2010 15:35 | LDM...I know your views but I seriously do not think you can put LNG directors in the same league as GVC. At GVC they have taken out 10 times more in just one year for practically zero growth whereas LNG has doubled earnings even though you are unhappy ! | davidosh
11/3/2010 15:19 | Seriously greengiant, if you've got free cash, you should be looking to put a good chunk of it in precious metals (if you haven't already)... this ponzi-scheme economy can't go on much longer the way it is without imploding. Too many AIM companies are great companies, but managed by self-serving scum (cough, cough, LNG, GVC) who destroy the company and take shareholders down with it, while collecting a nice chunky salary for their efforts. | ldmachin
11/3/2010 15:04 | They're still taking 250k @34.1 - smaller amounts @34.11 | isis
11/3/2010 14:57 | Sadly if Constellation had not wasted our time and money last year with the derisory bid then the coffers would have been stronger by nearly a million and no doubt less time distraction could have improved the business too. We may have been looking at a 45p bid now... | davidosh
11/3/2010 14:50 | Yes isis SZ did a good job for all (bar C) stakeholders. | clocktower
11/3/2010 14:29 | Doesn't always work though. Fact is GLD were in play as soon as the bid happened last year, but the price was too low. There aren't that many bids going on and GLD were always a steal under 25p - just needed someone to pick up the slack and then wait for the action to happen. Fair play to SZ for defending the original bid which totally undervalued GLD. One way or the other 33p or 36p is alot better than 25p | isis
11/3/2010 14:28 | Nice one GG...;-) | ravel morrison
11/3/2010 14:18 | Congratulations, Andrew/greengiant, for banking a big profit on GLD. Your timing and decision-making were extremely skilful. As Lord Rothschild is alleged to have said: "No-one ever went broke taking a profit." Now ask David about investing in LNG, another undervalued small-cap firm which may be right up your street. I own 6% of LNG and expect very considerable upside from the current market cap of £7m... All the best, Cliff PS: Are you still heavily into RNSM? | cliffyburger
11/3/2010 13:52 | greengiant, Stick some money in LNG. davidosh and myself could do with that one being pumped up a bit! | ldmachin
11/3/2010 13:38 | Thanks guys, good luck. dd - we will meet on at least one other board when I start to reinvest gg | greengiant
11/3/2010 13:18 | I have hedged my bets as I still think there is slightly less than even chance that the bid will get pushed up close to 40p. I have therefore sliced a few of mine too and I suspect they went to the same bidder at 34p . Nice to see you back CT | davidosh
11/3/2010 13:17 | At least it will be game over at long last. Well done to gg and all those that hung out for this level. | clocktower
11/3/2010 13:14 | And why not? bit of Robbie............ | isis
11/3/2010 13:12 | I would'nt like to be on the same Poker Table as him in Vegas - put it that way! :-)) | isis
11/3/2010 13:11 | gg done us all a favour moving the price up when it was in the doledrums ensuring we get a higher bid, so we owe him a drink really! LOL | isis
11/3/2010 13:10 | But then they have 100's of millions to play with ;) gg | greengiant
11/3/2010 13:10 | The info that I received when I sold was just that - the risk arbitragers are betting that it will go higher. gg | greengiant
11/3/2010 13:09 | Congrats Gg; next stop, treat yourself to a new (Argyll!) pullover. ;-) | egoi
11/3/2010 13:09 | gg - can't knock it really - tough one this. Could go either way. | isis |
