Aye, plenty of talk of a new commodities supercycle in the making. Years of under investment thanks to the green lobby. Might be good for resource investors but the inflation may also be painful for everyone. Fingers crossed it doesn't get out of control or no one wins longer term. Thanks for the pics ?

Evening bblueYeah production still strong and they do so well with the drill. It is perplexing that the share price has been held back compared to others in the sector, I'm wondering if investors might feel more inclined now the executives look to be putting changes in place. It could well have been turning some folk off. I hear you regarding Peru, I'm also in PTAL and it's been a great hold but not without gyrations. All the best.

Abstract from latest company announcement.

I interpret a x6 oversubscription as a vote of confidence in the company, given that 5.5% yield is not overly generous.

Total demand for the issue from top tier institutional investors exceeded $2 billion and was oversubscribed by more than six times. The net proceeds from the Notes offering will be used by the Company to pay the purchase price in connection with the previously announced acquisition by the Company of Amerisur Resources Plc. (the “Amerisur Acquisition”) and for general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures. On January 14, 2020, the Amerisur Acquisition was approved by the UK courts without condition. No other regulatory conditions must be satisfied before consummating the acquisition.

RSI is well oversold, volume has been above average last few sessions and I have also noted that the net cashflow has been positive (that is more buying than selling) yet the price has fallen! I think most of the PI's have been panicked into selling and the funds and investors who believe the Warren Buffet saying that "Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful” are sweeping up the shares. All IMHO and DYOR.

SJ, still around £5.60 after yesterday's news. This is around the same when it was announced to move the listing to NYSE. Since then all the good news and the extra capital raised for further investment in exploration has had no impact on the share price. Will keep saying this..the management need to look at proactively marketing the stock. There are too many good stocks out there and investors will not just appear. They need to be attracted!Absolutely no reason why the growth funds should not be fans of GPRK.

Expanding the international portfolio is the operational part of the business. There is also an element ensuring this information reaches the investor community, particularly institutional investors. This stock is basically a capital growth stock with very little prospect of a dividend in the near future and I have to say that the capital growth is not showing over a five year period. The management cannot keep on blaming the markets in which they operate. NYSE is the largest market in the world and they should make the effort to take advantage of this and soon.

T90 - Only a quick scan and all looks OK and moving in the right direction

I'm being a rather lazy investor with these!

Impressive update from GeoPark today. They are just getting on with the business of producing oil & gas. This is easily worth more than $20; let's see if the investors across the pond are quicker to pick up on this. Certainly a better chance due to more liquidity and more daily volume than London ever had.GeoPark Announces First Quarter 2014 Operational Update and Production of 20,410 boepdSANTIAGO, Chile, May 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- GeoPark Limited ("GeoPark") (NYSE: GPRK), the Latin American oil and gas explorer, operator and consolidator with operations and producing properties in Chile, Colombia, Brazil and Argentina, announced today its 1Q2014 operational update. For the quarter ended March 31, 2014, GeoPark's oil and gas average production increased to a record of 20,410 boepd, including 3,667 boepd from the Manati field acquisition in Brazil, which closed on March 31, 2014.In 1Q2014, a total of 15 new wells were drilled, consisting of nine wells in Chile and six wells in Colombia, and seven exploration wells and eight development and appraisal wells. GeoPark acquired 350 sqkm of new 3D seismic in the Isla Norte Block, which completed 100% of the 3D seismic commitment (1,541 sqkm) in Tierra del Fuego, Chile.

Good write up.

hxxp://seekingalpha.com/article/2007741-smaller-ipo-creates-bigger-opportunity-in-geopark?source=nasdaq

Key points of article:

1. The cold reception for GeoPark (GPRK) last week following a smaller than planned IPO provides an opportunity for long term investors to buy one of the fastest growing E&P companies in Latin America.

2. Moreover, GPRK should receive greater visibility after switching to the NYSE from the Alternative Investment Market (or "AIM") in the U.K. and as investors learn more about its unique and attractive growth story.

3. The downside is limited by the low absolute EBITDA multiple and high insider ownership while expected significant production growth provides upside potential.

Some UK investors do not want to invest in shares listed overseas, which is fair enough. Whether it goes ahead (no reason why it should not) or not there is tremendous upside here. Scenario 1- Listing goes ahead; US investor interest will drive price up or Scenario 2- Listing in NY does not go ahead; UK investors will pile back in again so either way win-win as long as they keep producing results like today. Is that too simple an analysis?
