The  Directors of Genesis Malaysia Maju Fund Limited announce unaudited  results
for the period ended 30th June, 2007 as follows:

COMMENT
In  the six months to June 30th, 2007, the Fund's Net Asset Value per share rose
by 34% to US$70.38.  Over the same period the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE)
index  expressed  in US Dollars rose 23.6%.  The total income per  Participating
Preference  Share  was US$17.93.  The Directors do not recommend  payment  of  a
dividend.

Malaysia's   economy  has  continued  to  grow  strongly   during   2007.    The
implementation  of  the Ninth Malaysia Plan has resulted in  a  return  to  pump
priming during the period with a focus on spending with a high multiplier  which
has  boosted underlying growth.  In addition civil service pay rises have  added
to the feel good factor in the economy.

The  Malaysian stock market has been one of the best performing in  Asia  during
2007.   The strong performance may have been aided by foreign investment inflows
resulting both from Malaysia's attractions and the diversion of investment  from
Thailand  following the political turmoil in that country.  The liquidity  flows
are starting to spill over from the equity markets into property.
