30/3/2010 16:20 | lol !!!!! BONUSES for NON performance. THE CITY NEEDS to live off OTHER PEOPLES MONEY. And our "GOD" Brown says WHY NOT . After all he knows after all these TAXES HE HAS WASTED. | hvs
30/3/2010 16:15 | you couldn't make it up. what a laugh. | rhodesthomson
30/3/2010 12:46 | There are a number of excellent fund managers in the small caps at Gartmore and they are one of the better asset managers but the level of bonus payments to directors in a year where profits more than halved simply amazes me. The eps figure was down to 10p from 23p and no dividend. The directors bonuses were nearly ten times their salary which IMO sends out the wrong message for an asset manager that needs to attract investment and investors money !!! They are not alone though by any stretch of the imagination. | davidosh
30/3/2010 11:54 | How low will this go?? | bandit 1200
25/3/2010 13:44 | So, FSA and the latest raids largely responsible for the fall. Well, could move over next few trading days. These things usually do and broker's notes quickly forgotten. The impending flow of ISA funds into trackers could also provide some support in the near term. | soundbuy
25/3/2010 11:57 | From FT AV this am. Explanation for share movement NH some people asking about Gartmore NH which was the subject of a nasty bear raid yesterday afternoon NH stock was down 10% at one point NH on some nasty rumours NH which the company crushed at the end of the day NH Bryce is just getting the quote BE Hold on. It's on my email ... and ....BEARRRRRRRRRRRGH NH hang onNHwe are having more notes issues NH system has wilted under the cyber attack NH creeking BE Right. BE Gmail comes to the rescue. BE Gartmore Not Being Investigated By FSA, Spokesperson Says NH thanks BE March 24 (Bloomberg) -- Gartmore Group Ltd. said the firm is not being investigated by the U.K.'s Financial Services Authority after the shares tumbled in London trading today. Spokesperson Caroline Villiers "categorically denies" the London-based money manager or its employees are being investigated by the regulator. NH suffice to say the rumours were linked to the recent dawn raids.. blah blah so mentioned C.A note yesterday etc. So, those bears may need to buy in if they went short. Could be some upside here. | soundbuy
25/3/2010 11:13 | ....and if the markets move lower ?? The rating is still quite high and the communication especially about the dividend has been poor. I cannot see many income funds being happy either. | davidosh
24/3/2010 23:28 | real screw up by management if market was not primed for no div until 2011 - income funds will sell out and leaves a bad taste with investors feeling misled - certainly the share price has performed badly since listing - that said market is up since start of the year and if it finishes the year higher still gartmore's own cautious outlook could be overdone. kind of feel it is too cheap down here but who knows, could go lower before it goes higher. ultimately its a market warrant so if the markets move higher grt should respond at some point | its the oxman
24/3/2010 20:06 | Canaccord Adams - 24/3/10: Following the group's prelims and our subsequent meeting with management, we are reducing our earnings estimates. This move primarily reflects redemption pressure in Gartmore's long-only mutual funds and some performance issues in European equities, its flagship product. The absence of a dividend until March 2011 at the earliest and the potential overhang from Hellman & Friedman's 24% holding (unconstrained from mid-June 2010) could put pressure on the shares above the 200p level. | simon gordon
24/3/2010 19:06 | Directors remuneration is very interesting and only shown in the AR. No director can be paid more than £175k in salary but... | davidosh
24/3/2010 18:08 | Annual report would have little to offer bar the results of the 9th March. Bizarre as having been watching this for a few days. Buying today throughout this am. but continually walked down despite even largish trades going through. Odd. The only thought I had was that stock needs to be delivered to those trackers that had to take the stock on board during the FTSE250 reshuffle and the respective MMs are short. Will continue to watch and guess! | soundbuy
24/3/2010 17:59 | I guess a few investors have looked through the annual report available today. Any thoughts ? | davidosh
24/3/2010 16:21 | Picked up some at 180p. | rhodesthomson
24/3/2010 16:20 | dipped toe in with small purchase 179p - hope i don't regret it - console myself with the fact if no div paid at least they are using money to pay down remaining debt and overall their fum seem to be outperforming benchmarks - or as usual i am missing something more sinister. | its the oxman
24/3/2010 16:09 | In auction as we speak. Down 10% | rhodesthomson
24/3/2010 15:52 | obvious disappointment - and no div till 2011, if profits allow | its the oxman
24/3/2010 14:37 | It didn't exactly hang around. Down 5%. Any catalyst for recovery now the results are history? | rhodesthomson
23/3/2010 08:06 | Any bottom fishing below 2 quid? Looks friendless to me - set to test previous lows by the look of it. | rhodesthomson

17/3/2010 10:43 | Nice mini dip on the chart before the next rally upwards - ahead of the FTSE reshuffle. CR | cockneyrebel

10/3/2010 10:18 | Broken out after a double bottom too. On browth forecasts these look like they are on an incredibly low PEG. Looks like they were floated cheaply to get them away in this sort of market. Been buying these lately. CR | cockneyrebel
09/3/2010 21:11 | Stock should enter the FTSE AllShare soon which will prompt Index buying. Daily volume has been so thin, this could actually work out at a few days volume to buy. Also I dare say the management will be out talking to institutional investors who probably ignored it at flotation due to coming just before Christmas (which of course proved lucky for them given price performance). Personally, I think it will claw it's way back to 220p IPO price. Even there, on say 10x estimates, it looks cheap. Remember it was originally priced to go at 250p! | whimsy zoom zoom |
