22/5/2014 12:32 | Galasys (LON:GLS) says it's delighted to have won a £274,000 (2.9mln Yuan) theme park contract with Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group. It is the first major new customer the firm has received since its successful IPO this month and is to supply ticketing and point-of-sales systems for the first phase of the Wanda Wuhan Movie Park. The park, in the central city of Wuhan, is spread over 100,000 square metres, and is scheduled to open in December this year, It will be the world's only film and movie technology park. It will feature six state-of-the art movie rides and it is expected that more than 3 million tourists will visit each year. Dalian, whose group assets total around £36.2bn, has invested around £362mln into the project. Galasys will design and customise the ticketing and point-of-sales systems for the first phase and afterwards provide maintenance and support services for up to three years. Galasys should receive 95% of its fees once the park has been operational for three months, with the balance paid over the life of the contract. Chief executive and Galasys co-founder Seah Kok Wah said: "Galasys won this project against competition from local and global ticketing solution providers, which is a testament to our technical merit, existing customer references and the strong local implementation and support team we provide. "We have committed to place dedicated engineers on-site with Dalian Wanda and we hope this is the first of many contracts with Dalian Wanda which has plans to build several state-of-the-art theme parks in major cities across China." | aim_trader

13/5/2014 14:19 | I agree, but the management seem committed to building a regular presence in London. Time will tell. I like the numbers and recurring revenue. I see these as a take out target from one of it's peers looking to get into Asia | aim_trader
13/5/2014 10:58 | Very very small long position here this morning - like the admission document and feel there could be some gains here. Not a fan of Asian AIM companies as a rule but happy to take a punt on this and add if it begins to play out. | funkmasterp12

18/1/2010 12:38 | This is now known as TROY INCOME & GROWTH under EPIC cade TIGT. Does anyone know how to start a new BB? | plasybryn
05/1/2010 09:42 | I've never been a fan of Aberdeen, but their decision to "put out" GLS to Troy seems a very good move. I've also got some Shires Income for the return and hope I'm in at a low point. Not so keen on the Shires Smaller Cos. I prefer European Assets Trust (EAT). Gteed 6% income pa, as paid from capital and investments in medium size Cos across Europe. Chrispen the Fund Mgr has been there quite some time. Part of Foreign & Colonial. | plasybryn
05/1/2010 09:23 | Yes I'm keeping my fingers crossed - as I long term holder of the and the Shires income and smaller companies I'm certainly not impressed so far. | garwatts
