09/5/2017 12:02 | Today's RNS highlighted how poor their controls and audit processes are - JA should do the decent thing or AS should force the issue. | the drewster
09/5/2017 11:34 | The CFO should be deeply embarrassed by this accounting error, given how much he has taken out of the business. However, it is not materially significant, as evidenced by the indifference of the market. The more important announcement was the trading update last week and that sounds promising. Hopefully we will hear some more positives from those attending today's AGM, as well as an apology from the CFO (although I am not holding my breath on the latter point). | life of crime
09/5/2017 09:18 | The RNS of 5th May 2017 sounded like things are on the up here....though I conceed, todays RNS doesnt exactly inspire confidence in the accounting. | molatovkid
09/5/2017 08:20 | Maybe, after this am's announcement, Mr Apps should think about falling on his sword? | ianood

05/5/2017 09:22 | depends on the growth rate, varies - of course we have only just turned profitable depends also whether it means £2m or something else! not enough info but it is certainly a positive update! | geheimnis2
05/5/2017 09:18 | Trading updates with assurances that profits should exceed market expectations seldom tell us what these expectations are. So it is refreshing to find one that does. If EBITDA for 2017 was expected to be c£1 million and this is to be substantially exceeded, are we perhaps looking for £2 million ? If our market cap. is £37 million as indicated by ADVFN, then our share price does seem rather high. | varies
05/5/2017 08:30 | Could be £2 or £3 this year. | chillpill

05/5/2017 07:52 | Great news. The quicker the UK switches off analogue the better. | krr13
05/5/2017 07:39 | Upgrade as we had hoped. Bodes well as they normally have a stronger H2. Only trading on 1x sales. Wouldn't be surprised if we get further upgrades as the year goes on. | monty panesar
03/5/2017 13:14 | I saw this ad on TV yesterday: It is good to see Google putting some marketing muscle behind the launch. | life of crime
02/5/2017 10:49 | More under the heading of "Every little helps": Fortunately this passed on the final day of parliament last week, so it should not be held up by the election. | life of crime

19/4/2017 04:08 | Re #253: per the quote, those people are listening over IP, not over DAB. "Digital" is a bit ambiguous, but the reference to tablets gives away what they mean. | loldemort
14/4/2017 16:31 | Thanks to all for the updates over the last couple of days. This is encouraging stuff and should start to put FST on the radar of some big investors. Enjoy this Good Friday and the rest of the long weekend. | life of crime
14/4/2017 14:35 | Amazon ramps up smart speakers battle against Google - I'd be very surprised if FST weren't involved in this. I'd expect an announcement that Minuet will support Alexa in due course. | rob_evans
14/4/2017 08:51 | I'm increasingly confident we will see a re-rating as the year goes on. | monty panesar
13/4/2017 22:02 | Asurge in digital listeners has brought about a "new golden age" of radio which could trigger the beginning of the end of FM listening as early as this year.Radio use in the UK is now at record levels, with 48 million adults listening to more than 1bn hours each week in the last three months of 2016 year, according to industry monitor Rajar. The renaissance has been fuelled by an increase in people accessing radio digitally, through devices such as tablets and smartphones, with the balance shifting so quickly that analysts predict digital listeners will become the majority within a year.Even five years ago this situation was unthinkableFord Ennals, chief executive of Digital Radio UKThe Government has said that once that milestone is reached it will undertake a review which could result in the FM signal being switched off.Norway became the first country in the world to end FM radio when it cut the signal in January,"Even five years ago this situation was unthinkable," said Ford Ennals, chief executive of Digital Radio UK, the company overseeing the nationwide digital switchover."People predicted radio would fall away - it's extraordinary when you think about the fragmentation of the media," he told the Financial Times.During the last three months of 2016 170 new local and national digital stations were launched, bringing the total number in the UK to 339.Despite its current success, digital radio will have to adapt to shifting listening habits as younger listeners replace older ones.Data suggests that just over half of people between the ages of 15 and 24 listen to live radio, compared with 88 per cent of people over the age of 55.BBC Radio 1, which is principally focused at a younger audience, lost 1 million listeners last year.Bob Shennen, director of Radio at the BBC, said: "Young people are just not listening for as long," but added the medium was "very good at reaffirming its core values."The BBC currently enjoys a dominant share of the total listening hours in the UK, accounting for 53 per cent, with Radio 2 alone accounting for 17 per cent. | krr13 |
