06/12/2005 17:02 | Well, no news so far. It may drift back down tomorrow if there's no announcement. Will we get another chance to buy in the 1300's in the New Year? ......... possibly. A lot of money rushes in and out of stocks rumoured to be targets. | ed 123
06/12/2005 11:27 | I didn't sell. They're worth a lot more than 16.70 (or whatever that peak was). No hurry for the money. | markth
06/12/2005 11:25 | I wonder if Geoff Foster is a holder. Well done to those who sold post 08.20 after brokers' advice. | faraway
06/12/2005 10:48 | Re why £19 -was valued about that by Alastair Gunn/Arbuthnot (£18.75-£20.48) -that was 16-Dec-04 | leeaadvfn
06/12/2005 08:48 | why was the fig £19 chosen as the poss take out figure?? t.i.a. | abcd1234
06/12/2005 08:35 | time to sell to bank the profit | artful dodger
06/12/2005 08:30 | L2 anyone? | alan russell
06/12/2005 08:26 | here's the sort of press today re the £19....this bit from the daily mail | abcd1234
06/12/2005 08:12 | Very strong start - may be some truth to this. | ed 123
06/12/2005 07:45 | Bid rumour reported at £19 per share. As with nearly all rumours, this is likely to be just gossip. Regretting not topping up on Forth, but nice paper profit growing on my holding. Looks like being another up day for Forth today. | ed 123
05/12/2005 18:14 | Took a very nice profit so shouldn't complain at all - just got taken by surprise with all this counterbid activity in the sector - could well be Forth next! | ivancampo
05/12/2005 10:08 | I've sold too early many times, myself. As you'll know, it's virtually impossible to buy at the bottom or sell at the top. If you made a profit, then that's OK. Mistakes where I still make money are not too bad. More problematic for me is when I buy a share and it goes down - have I simply mistimed it slightly or have I made a major error? Take a loss and move on or (hopefully) ride out the dip? Bought some Punch recently and now watching it fall!!!!! | ed 123
04/12/2005 20:02 | With a counterbid for pd ports forth can expect another good few days - I deffo sold too early but never mind - still got them in the sipp. good luck all. | ivancampo
02/12/2005 19:09 | Must admit I have sold a load of these when we got into the mid 1400's. Wanted to bank a very healthy profit. Bit gutted that we hit 1500 today but good luck to all holders for further gains. Looking to get back in after takeover talk dies down, if indeed it does!! | ivancampo
02/12/2005 17:05 | Virtually at £15 at close. It takes courage to buy a share when it's unloved and sold down - but it's the way to make money. A lot of momentum behind the sector, possibility of counter-bid for P and O. Forth could easily rise another pound next week. May get gold dentures and toupee if Forth carries on like this. | ed 123
29/11/2005 22:53 | Possibly buoyant due to P and O bid and housing market volume recovery. Forth is the same company doing the same things but recently sentiment has turned in its favour. A short time ago it was sold down to £12.50 but now it looks like reaching £15.00. If I could understand it I would trade it, but I can't, so I won't. Intending to hang on till the finals and beyond. | ed 123
29/11/2005 17:33 | Held 14 quid quite nicely, quite well supported today as well. Looking good! | ivancampo
25/11/2005 11:46 | I'll be disappointed if it just holds this level. IMO the land and housing side of FPT is undervalued. To the point where the attached ports business is selling for a knockdown price. That's why I have been buying these at £12 - £12.50 on the dips. | markth
25/11/2005 11:39 | I should be back in contention next week, foot took a long time to heal due to red wine intake. They needed me last night the boys couldn;t pass it. What a finish though from the young lad ;-) As for FPT fingers crossed for holding this level. | ivancampo
25/11/2005 11:31 | There it goes!!!! Very little volume, wonder if it'll hold at this heady level. Anyway, it made it. Now, where's that dentist's phone number? ........ Bolton did well yesterday. Diouff looked good. When are you returning to the first team? | ed 123
25/11/2005 10:44 | On the cusp of £14...again, today could be the day. | ivancampo
23/11/2005 10:47 | If it goes through £14 I'm going to treat myself to some new teeth and hair dye! Rise due to improving outlook for housebuilders? | ed 123
16/11/2005 21:15 | Gateside No offence taken. | highland terrier
16/11/2005 21:07 | highland terrier Apologies for misunderstanding you, am home sick with bronchitis at the moment, and my brain is not up to speed at present! | gateside |
