To view Figure 1: Mauritanian Licences, please open the link in a new window: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/FORTE0703.jpg Hassi Baida is a superficial calcrete area situated approximately 50km north-east of the existing Forte Energy licences and covers over 800km2. The NQ Aircore drilling programme concentrated on the central and southern areas and comprised of 214 holes and totalled 2,190m. Samples are being prepared to send to the ALS preparation facility in Nouakchott, Mauritania and will then be sent to the ALS laboratories in Ireland for assaying. Following the completion of the drilling at Hassi Baida a short scout drilling programme was completed in the covered area 7km to the south east of the A238 prospect. A series of short vertical air core holes were drilled into the basement aimed at identifying major shearing/mylonite/cataclasite and alteration patterns from chip samples. Commenting on the update, Mark Reilly, Managing Director of Forte Energy, said: "We look forward to receiving the assay results of the recent drilling campaign in the third quarter which will not only contribute to our better understanding of the prospects within our Mauritanian licence areas but will also progress our wider goal of continuing to significantly grow the Company's resources base."
