FINSBURY INTERNATIONAL HEDGE INVESTMENT COMPANY LIMITED

At an extraordinary general meeting of Finsbury International Hedge Investment
Company Limited("the Company") held at 10:30a.m. today, it was resolved to
increase the borrowing powers of the Company from 20% of net asset value to
50% of net asset value and to change the name of the Company to Finsbury
Alternative Investment Strategies Limited.

The change of name will not become effective until approved by the Royal Court
in Guernsey.
