30/9/2015 07:04 | Rob....my memory must be failing, I coukd have sworn it was October sometime for Rachel. Old age doesn't come alone......:( Edit.....just checked. I sold in the october, but the oil to water miracle was indeed Deecmber. I thought it happened th weekend after I sold. I lost November somewhere....:) | agnabeya
30/9/2015 06:59 | Agna, I think I remember u selling out a while before, thankfully I didn't have much in DES. And just to clarify, DES oil discovery was on the 2nd of December 2010, the water RNS was released on the 6th. Plenty of time for those in the know to exit IMO | robpuguk
30/9/2015 06:52 | Yup one can only hope its positive it'd change the dynamics of Falklands oil again. It'd save big oil billions trying to find oil in Alaska when they could look here If only... | tackabrum
30/9/2015 06:43 | Anyone awake? I dreamed there was an RNS.....LOL | agnabeya
30/9/2015 06:29 | Must be a 3-2-1 dusty bin job | jimduggan
29/9/2015 23:23 | Efagie, I still think flow test equipment would be on standby in tbe yard in Stanley. At least I hope they have that level of forward planning. :O Rob, at tbe time of the Rachel result the share price rose purely because of the P&D that was conducted by the usual suspects. The company hadn't said anything to give false hope. The RNS happened and was withdrawn and results changed to water almost immediately, ISTR. The price rise wasn't really due to the BOD (and I agree they were rubbish) - But the failure was zlready obvious from the RKH RNS a couple of days before. I've never thought they deliberately misled. Incompetence..:.abso I'm not confident on Humpy. It's taken far too long. That's not usually a sign of success...BWTFDIK? :) I'm hoping to get into modest profit and sell my trading holding before the RNS. GLA BTW.......there's a lot of wild speculation on the other BB based on NBL's presentation today. Considering how little they said, and in such vague soundbytes, about Humpy, I honestly can't understand why the confidence. Perhaps I'm just battle weary....:D Edit.....I didn't get mugged with Des Rob. I sold out on the day of the RKH RNS, as I didn't think it boded well for Rachel. I was lucky enough to leave with good profit. | agnabeya
29/9/2015 23:05 | Agna, I don't believe noble would do that kind of thing really hope not. DES were an aim share and sadly the BOD's of these tend to look out for numero uno.. And their close buddies. I wouldn't say it was done to mug u and I.. Just we were down the list of priorities during that time. U don't sound confident on humpback ? | robpuguk
29/9/2015 22:10 | agna, the pacific legend left a month after the drill started so not related too. Thats not to say that the drill delay didn't become fortuitus, in regards something they could use that was intended for isobel. Flowtest equipment as an example. | efagie
29/9/2015 21:54 | Guns....flat volume and share price today. No sign of any results leaking yet, either way IMHO. I can't see how it could be a good result after all this time. Something obviously went very wrong with this drill. I'd guess a combination of well design, geology and possibly equipment. I seriously doubt the Pacific Legend had to zip back to ABZ for testing equipment. They would have that on standby in the yard before the campaign started, I would have thought. | agnabeya
29/9/2015 20:51 | Massive assumption made over at iii, or deliberate collective fibbing. When has there ever been a discovery concurrent to a flat share price? Very surprised if Humpy is not either dust or highly ambiguous result. I'm a shareholder as well fwiw! Isobel and Fogl's share of the SL complex the most positive driver of shareholder value imo. | gunsofmarscapone
29/9/2015 18:46 | Rob, are you of the opinion, as is Chris, that it was deliberately done to mislead investors? If so, would that mean you wouldn't be surprised if Noble do the same? | agnabeya
29/9/2015 16:20 | It was a shocking lack of professionalism is what that was, there was no need to blurt that results RNS out as soon as they did. I remember seeing the share price action through out that day of release (it was a thursday) then the friday before the weekend - it was up but couldnt break £1.30 from memory, stayed around that share price the whole two days... I think plenty on the inside knew it wasnt right... let alone RKH also kept their distance.. at the end of their RNS of DES's discovery... "Subsurface support is provided to the Operator by Senergy (GB) Ltd and the results reported today are based on the work of the Senergy operations team. Rockhopper has not completed its own technical work on the outcome to date. " Ah well history now... seems like it was only yesterday lol | robpuguk
29/9/2015 14:15 | It's not an attempt to mislead at all. It's a genuine error misinterpreting well logs which does happen very occasionally. | ngms27
29/9/2015 13:53 | Rob...I have but it happened before I got into this FI game. I always assumed it was a genuine, even stupid mistake at whatever level - it didn't imagine it was an attempt to deliberately mislead. Then again I could just be naive.... | krakadouw
29/9/2015 13:46 | Rob - you seriously think DES did that deliberately? The P&D beforehand was executed by Borgo and team Borgo - and it isn't any different this time. edit - and OT - but while we're on the subject of water :) see the news about Mars? wow. | agnabeya
29/9/2015 13:39 | Krakadouw... you not heard of DES? lol.... | robpuguk
29/9/2015 12:06 | Surely they would be deep in the brown do-do if they were found to have deliberately lied/misled in an RNS anyway.... | krakadouw
29/9/2015 10:53 | DES are amongst friends. SIA, DANA, and AEX have all previously issued discovery RNS's based on logs only to produce water on test. I'm sure many others have as well, which maybe why FIG insist on coring... | ngms27
29/9/2015 09:56 | Big oil must be moving in and have sweetened her up..... well here's hoping ! : | mariopeter
29/9/2015 09:36 | Chris, you haven't explained yet how calling it a duster would benefit them financially. Can't make sense of that one at all. | agnabeya
29/9/2015 08:59 | Fingers crossed for no October superstorm this year in the stock market! The October oil stock challenge is now on….deadline for entries is midnight on Wednesday... Good luck!!! fb | flyingbull
29/9/2015 08:46 | Hopefully. If it does this will get very interesting in a few years. | shanieboy01
29/9/2015 07:33 | I will shut up now. Let's wish Humpty is a gusher. | chrisc168
29/9/2015 07:14 | No. As investors you have to take an rns at face value. Were they wrong.... yes. But you cant blame ordinary investors who believed them. Do i think they did it on purpose?? No. | shanieboy01 |
