Posted at 30/12/2015 06:59 by mesquida No, The Rkh bid was a share exchange, a value of 10p was never guaranteed. But my post was referring to the arbitrage opportunity which allowed Rkh shareholders to sell their stock at 28p and then immediately repurchase at 24p in the form of FOGL shares. Alternatively, investors who wanted to start a position in Rkh, or add to an existing position in Rkh, had the opportunity to purchase the appropriate number of FOGL shares and thereby enter Rkh at the equivalent of 24p or even slightly less ! Never have I seen such a glaring anomaly in good size, and the anomaly was there for several days. Am amazed that institutional investors did not take advantage of it, but I suppose that they were too busy with their Christmas parties ! |
Posted at 15/12/2015 18:59 by oilbandit thanks chris for your support i need it mate ...and no we certainly are not alone in the way we are thinking it seems as we also have plenty of holders sitting in the same boat and waiting for results upon the other BBoard...even though they do sound like old grannys bickering sometimes.....speaki meanwhile perhaps some positive news is just around the corner for us and its a good sighn of perhaps a turning point for us now being that we are all now piled into rockhopper. its funny ...i prefer that name anyway compared to falkland oil and gas it sounds much more enviromentally friendly dont ya think....lol. P@ definition for those who dont understand. BREAKING DOWN 'Perpetual Option - XPO' For investors, perpetual options represent the highest ratio of possible risk/reward payoff compared to existing financial products. Perpetual options are viewed as "plain vanilla" options. For many investors they represent an advantage over other instruments (where dividends and/or voting rights are not a high priority) because the strike price on a perpetual option enables the holder to choose the buy or sell price point instead of having to select a singular stock price. In addition, XPOs can be preferable to standard options because they eliminate the expiration risk. |
Posted at 28/11/2015 09:49 by whackford Just clearing out some old papers in view of the impending RKH/FOGL merger.I see that Investors Chronicle had a full page in its 8-14 January 2010 edition given over to one of its "Tips of the Year 2010". The tip was "Buy FOGL" at 136.25p. How things change! |
Posted at 16/10/2015 11:28 by moneymunch Shares in Falkland Oil and Gas (LSE: FOGL) have fallen by up to 8% after the release of an operational update by the company. On the one hand, the update is positive because Falkland Oil and Gas has encountered oil and gas shows while drilling through its main target horizon. Furthermore, intermediate wireline logs indicate the possible presence of hydrocarbon bearing sandstones within the main target horizon and, as such, the company will now drill deeper in an attempt to evaluate additional targets. However, on the other hand today's update is disappointing since progress on the well has been slower than expected due to a side-track being required for mechanical reasons. As a result, the share of Falkland Oil and Gas' costs for the Humpback well have risen, although the company stresses that it has sufficient cash to complete the drilling programme. Clearly, Falkland Oil and Gas has considerable long term potential and, while a delay is somewhat disappointing, it continues to make encouraging overall progress. Therefore, today's share price fall could be an opportunity for less risk averse investors to buy a slice of the company for the long term. |

Posted at 11/10/2015 07:54 by moneymunch Lol jimmydusterduggan, i'm obsessed with this share because i've a lot invested and will hold all for results ( hopefully 7am Monday ), i always copy and paste information to highlight prospects and potential that's relevant to a share i'm invested, although admittedly sometimes over enthusiastically and optimistically but never ever post anything negative on a share i'm not invested unlike you and the rest of the lowlife basher troll brigade , i never invest in a share where i'm not confident but nothing is a given as frontier oil exploration is obviously very high risk with the outcome of most drills a disappointment for those invested, but the rewards for success will be substantial, and so for those investors not averse to risk like me, this near term opportunity is one of the most exciting around where good news from Humpback will be transformational for Fogl and it's shareholders. GL News imminent!!! ;-) |

Posted at 29/9/2015 17:46 by agnabeya Rob,are you of the opinion, as is Chris, that it was deliberately done to mislead investors? If so, would that mean you wouldn't be surprised if Noble do the same? |
Posted at 29/9/2015 06:14 by shanieboy01 No. As investors you have to take an rns at face value. Were they wrong.... yes. But you cant blame ordinary investors who believed them. Do i think they did it on purpose?? No. |
