RNS Number:3826M Europe Vision PLC 21 November 2006 Europe Vision plc (the "Company") Robert Haggiag takes #2.4m stake in Europe Vision Europe Vision, the AIM listed studio-to-screen European media company announces that veteran film industry guru and media investor, Robert Haggiag has purchased, with his son, Simone, two million new Ordinary Shares in the Company at 120p per share through their investment vehicle Hillswood Holdings Ltd and received an option to purchase a further 30 million new Ordinary Shares at 127p per share exercisable over the next three years. Application will be made for the two million new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to AIM on 24 November 2006. Commenting on the purchase Europe Vision's Chairman, David Lowe, said: "This investment at today's full market share price is a strong vote of confidence in our strategy to integrate production, distribution and delivery of high quality media content via cinema, television and new media across Europe." "We are delighted to have Robert and Simone as investors in Europe Vision. Robert's wide ranging industry contacts and Simone's studio experience will be a valuable support to the company's development." Robert Haggiag is a well known figure in the worldwide motion picture industry as a producer of classic films such as the Oscar-winning Barefoot Contessa, (1954) Golden Globe nominated Candy (1968) and former part-owner of Warner Bros Studios. The Haggiag family has cinema interests across Europe and in particular Italy. They are the largest private shareholders in Italy's majority state-owned film studio, Cinecitta - Europe's premier film making facility, (next to the UK's Pinewood Studios) and they own Dear Studios which are leased to the State TV and film broadcaster, RAI.
