RNS Number:1699Q Europasia Education PLC 16 August 2005 August 16 2005 CHINESE COLLEGE POSTS RECORD RESULTS IN BOOST FOR EUROPASIA EDUCATION Shandong International Institute of Translation ("SIIT"), the Chinese college owned by Ample Gains Investment ("AGI") in which AIM-listed EuropAsia Education has a 12 per cent stake, has announced record profits for the year to 30 June 2005. The college in Shandong Province, increased pre-tax income by 61 per cent to 51 million Renmimbi (#3.5 million) on turnover up 61 per cent from 44 million Renminbi to 71.6 Renminbi (#4.9 million). SIIT runs diplomas and undergraduate courses in foreign languages, computer science, IT, international commerce and trade and hospitality and tourism. It recently announced the completion of the first phase of its expansion to increase student numbers from 5,000 to 20,00 by 2007. Mr Sun, Chairman of AGI said: "We are extremely pleased with these results. The demand for places at SIIT continues to rise and confirms our confidence in investing in the college's expansion.
