29/6/2007 21:51 | moly price now around $35/lb and seems to be gathering investment interst. This one may perform quite nicely, especially if they can raise some independant cash for investments... | tippingpoint
29/6/2007 17:45 | Looks like a good deal for EPE imo with a new focus and someone who hopefully knows the market they are entering. Will be interesting to see who is right say 6 months from now. MY money is on 7p by December but what do I know.... | timely
29/6/2007 16:54 | Wasn't me..... Think SL made had some foresight - but didn't manage to put it in to effect and now just seems to be making reactive decisions (as well now printing LDC shares as fast as possible). | don muang
29/6/2007 16:46 | Own up. Who bought 28002 shares at 3.5p and sold them 28 minutes later at 3.25p ? I agree Simon Littlewood lost the plot, but I`m not sure whether he ever had the plot in the first place. | tyranosaurus
29/6/2007 16:34 | >tyranosaurus - 29 Jun'07 - 16:02 - 267 of 268 >Who else would buy 2 stakes in illiqid investments. Agreed on that. Simon Littlewodd does seem to have lost the plot recently - perhaps too much jet lag..? | don muang
29/6/2007 16:25 | .... but who got them in to the 'mess' in the first place (in a rapid growth sector of teaching English as a second language). Now by appointing a new boss they'll be experts in commodities.... !! Hope the new boss will be willing to work 25 hours a day to make up the lost ground - in which case I assume he'll have suitable incentive and renumeration.... | don muang
29/6/2007 16:02 | Would you have liked them to carry on as they were. Pathetic little UK business and 2 stakes. What future was there ? They tried to sell the company at 5p per share but talks broke down. Who else would buy 2 stakes in illiqid investments. Nobody in their right mind would pay full price for these. On balance I think they have done well to get out of the mess they were in. | tyranosaurus
29/6/2007 15:17 | Under current accounting rules EPE does not recognise the gain in market value of these investments on the balance sheet or through the profit and loss account nor a share of their respective profits, resulting in an overall loss for the year. | paravion
29/6/2007 15:09 | Level 2 just strengthened up. 3 v 2. Some buying going on by the looks of things. Delayed trades ....A nuisance you cant see whats happening. | paravion
29/6/2007 15:08 | J2... I'm not an expert on such things ..... Might be specified somewhere in the 'small print' .... | don muang
29/6/2007 15:06 | Don - Would that also cancel the warrants attached to the Conv loan ? | james 2
29/6/2007 15:04 | But not quite cash in the bank..... "LDC will pay for its stake via the cancellation of #452,399 of EPE 10% Convertible Loan Notes and via LDC ordinary shares at a valuation per share equal to the average closing mid market price of the previous five trading days as quoted on AiM." (Performance of LDC shares hasn't exactly been great recently either). | don muang
29/6/2007 15:01 | Maybe not a 10p share, but a decent RNS and certainly the share price does not reflect the information the company have just released. | paravion
29/6/2007 14:58 | "Easily a 10p share" LOL LOL Why are they worth 10p ie £5.7m ?? They haven`t got assets worth that much, and they`ve got no business left. I`ll be happy to see a 5p share price again. I`ll be happy when all these trades, including mine, show up on advfn. | tyranosaurus
29/6/2007 14:54 | New to investing arent you. ROFLMAO! | garbut
29/6/2007 14:49 | Online max is just 25k from 250000..Tick up coming..Easily a 10p plus share..God these are cheap at the moment..Great results.. | hopestaruk
29/6/2007 14:45 | From memory they have a few warrants sloshing around, but I think these may have been up at 5p so no impact for now. | james 2
29/6/2007 14:44 | These are going to rocket...Shares undervalued by at least half. Another 100%er here | hopestaruk
29/6/2007 14:44 | excellent results just bought 125k | hopestaruk
29/6/2007 14:13 | Remember they are selling Chinese stakes at 30% discount to current price. Reckon they are selling £4m for 2.8m. Still leaves £0.5m CEG shares + £70000 for uk + £2.8m from LDC. | tyranosaurus
29/6/2007 14:09 | Bought 50K @ 3.2p. As tyranosaurus said, they could have been a lot worse.. | tonyx
29/6/2007 14:08 | they give 7.8p per share value on the current results alone. you read right. wow! | kasman
29/6/2007 14:07 | Hope I understood the results correctly as I have just bought 80,000 more shares at 3.2p. Not showing on monitor yet. | tyranosaurus |
