18/11/2013 16:08 | Main problem here is the Rupee which seems to be in continual decline, nearly 30% lower than in 2011, and still falling. | bend1pa
18/11/2013 13:30 | @hvs - I can understand your frustration, I've traded this stock a few times before, said I wouldn't touch it again, then few weeks ago I touched it. | s_sahota
13/11/2013 05:40 | More new investment at stanlow | refinerypleb
06/11/2013 11:26 | I remember when this pile of junk came to market and Goldmans were setting price targets above £6.....I have learnt to never pay any attention to the supposed experts who always have their own hidden agendas. This is a high risk company in that it needs to generate significant cash flow just to service its epic debt levels but there is no chance of a high reward and no divi so why would you ever get involved. I have traded them in the past which is the only way to approach them. They are not an investment. | salpara111
05/11/2013 08:21 | but the larger refinery business in India is losing money on every barrel processed. The Indian businesses would seem at best opaque. | undervaluedassets
05/11/2013 07:46 | Stanlow is not losing money on every barrel processed. | refinerypleb
04/11/2013 10:12 | Chore kee bazaar India is full of chores. | hvs
04/11/2013 10:09 | Negative margins on last results. losing money on every barrel processed. That is going to have to turn around. Negative sentiment in charge here and rightly so it would seem for now. | undervaluedassets
02/11/2013 23:08 | Range 100-155 cannot get above 50 week ema after hugging for long time leaves lots of bagholders..... retest of 100 overdue? also head and shoulders formation with possible target 85p increased volume last two weeks and gap over head and shoulders neckline 120p | muffinhead
30/10/2013 06:55 | Below a £1.05 could be a good high probability long position short term. | bulltradept
28/10/2013 14:02 | Specially when they all do chori | hvs
25/10/2013 10:59 | I think that there is a trust issue with the Indians and massive debt. The sentiment here has gone very negative. Hard to turn that around. | undervaluedassets
24/10/2013 16:19 | I think you answered your own question. Do they have predictable cash flows stretching out into the future? When I did a bit of research I gave up due to the complex nature of the various businesses. They bought Stanlow refinery in the UK last year which appears to have been something of a vanity purchase given that Europe has a surplus of refining capacity. For me there is not enough upside potential to justify the risk which I see as relatively high. | salpara111
24/10/2013 13:29 | Is the debt really that much of a problem? provided that you have predictable cash flows stretching out into the future. You want to see debt - take a look at National Grid! Debt does not seem to have held them back. I do not have a position - just speculating. | undervaluedassets
24/10/2013 09:15 | Essar is a big bag of assets underwritten by a mountain of debt. They will live to service their debts for the foreseeable future. The oil refining business is a basket case in that there is excess supply in certain areas like Europe which is why Ineos want to close Grangemouth and the unions have willingly obliged. I have looked in here a few times and even made a small profit on a trade the last time it hit the 120 line. My view is that it is a trading stock as I don't see value in the 3 year timeframe. | salpara111
23/10/2013 17:37 | probably catching a cold from Grangemouth problems as well. | undervaluedassets
23/10/2013 14:58 | Well the investor relations department is approachable at any rate. | undervaluedassets
23/10/2013 14:57 | lol !!!!!! We is talking INDIA hum sube chore he. | hvs
23/10/2013 14:45 | I would not mind an intelligent conversation with someone. This is one indebted company as it stands. Looks as if that debt is set to get bigger too. But Power generation and refining fuels as businesses are hardly likely to go out of fashion any time soon. Would love to hear some sensible input from individuals here. | undervaluedassets |
