RNS Number:0708X Entertainment Rights PLC 30 March 2004 ENTERTAINMENT RIGHTS WINS DISTRIBUTION RIGHTS TO 'BARBIE AS THE PRINCESS AND THE PAUPER' Entertainment Rights Plc ("ER") today announces the successful acquisition of the distribution rights to Mattel's highly anticipated fourth feature length film BarbieTM as the Princess and the Pauper. ER will release the title in the UK on DVD and video on its own label Right Entertainment. ER has also securedinternational television rights, excluding North America, to the feature-film. This new deal follows ER's success as the international distributor for television, video and DVD of Mattel's first three full-length feature films BarbieTM in the Nutcracker, BarbieTM as Rapunzel and BarbieTM of Swan Lake.All three titles have been sold to the preeminent national broadcast partners in more than 90 countries worldwide including Super RTL in Germany, M6 in France, Mediaset in Italy, Telecinco in Spain, TVB Hong Kong, SBS Korea and Network 7 in Australia. Through its distribution deal with Universal International and with combined UK sales from the Right Entertainment label over seven million Barbie (R) videos and DVDs have been sold to date byER. BarbieTM as the Princess and the Pauper teaches girls about hope, self-discovery and the strength of love. This classic tale has received a modern-day makeover from Mattel and is played out through the amazing technology of CGI animation.
