TIDMERT RNS Number : 9763M Entertainment Rights PLC 09 February 2009 Embargoed 7.00 a.m. 9 February 2009 Entertainment Rights Plc (the "Company") Board Change Entertainment Rights announces that its Chairman and founder, Rod Bransgrove, will be retiring from the Board with effect from today. In the Company's interim results announcement on 31 October 2008, the Chairman signalled his intention to step down from the Board at the financial year end, which is now approaching. The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Sir Robin Miller as Chairman with immediate effect. Sir Robin has been Deputy Chairman since 21 July 2008 and was formerly Chief Executive and Chairman of Emap plc, one of the UK's leading media groups. Since 2003, he has also been the senior media advisor to HgCapital. Rod Bransgrove, commented:- "I co-founded in 1997 the company that was to become Entertainment Rights plc and have thoroughly enjoyed the process of building a world class catalogue of entertainment assets. The Company now has a portfolio of over 3,600 hours of high quality children's and family programming and, in Casper the Friendly Ghost, The Lone Ranger, Postman Pat, Rupert Bear and many other brands, owns some of the best known children's characters outside of the major US studios. Having now established a new Executive team and a largely reconstituted Board, I believe the time is right for me to hand over to a new Chairman, who was recruited for this purpose.
