Transaction in Own Shares
Energy XXI (Bermuda) Limited ("the Company") announces that pursuant to the previously announced Rule 10(b)5-1 Trading Plan ("the Plan"), from 3 July 2013 to 16 July 2013 it had made purchases of 514,000 US $0.005 Common Stock ("Shares") at an average price of US $23.51 per Share. The highest and lowest price paid for these Shares was US $24.00 and US $22.68, respectively. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.
Only to the extent additional repurchases are made, the Company will report transactions in its own shares bi-weekly.
The combined open market and Plan purchases from 8 May 2013 to 16 July 2013 totalled 3,852,900 Shares at an average price of US $24.35 per Share.
Following the above purchases, the Company has a total of 75,575,081 Shares in issue, excluding 3,853,563 treasury shares.
