25/5/2011 08:47 | Good to see Endace's VAR fan-base expanding so rapidly. A sure sign their new fabric/system is fully baked. Small, specialist independent VARs are only prepared to take to market the best of the best - for obvious enough reasons. | knackers
24/5/2011 15:56 | Panmure may be helping a few stragglers to clamber aboard before blowing the whistle ;o) Endace is one of the very few (the only) network monitoring vendors with the demonstrable know-how/capability to tackle the packet-capture challenge, 100% guaranteed, on high throughput networks; 40Gb/s...100Gb/s... Their Probes and Sensors are scalable, future-proofed and 'open' (application [s/w] agnostic) which makes them highly desirable in the current climate. Basically it's a point-solution, consolidation play which will disrupt the incumbent GTM model. Not nice if you're on the receiving end! | knackers
24/5/2011 14:04 | Surely broker upgrades on the way. C.E. couldn't have been more positive. | broadwood
24/5/2011 08:39 | $171USD The cost of Sony's breach: Which of course doesn't include the cost of the reputational mauling the brand has suffered! How much to fix that?! More than a free movie download via PS Store or LoveFilm m'thinks... | knackers
24/5/2011 07:53 | Nice. Endace's FC has done a cracking job in the absence of CFO. 18/5/2011 10:33 | Well they're being nothing if not bold ;o) in the manner they're taking on the 'big boys'. Question is how long are those heavy-weight incumbents going to put up with Endace's highly disruptive consolidation play in this rapidly expanding network monitoring/network assurance market. Here's really interesting, whoever buys Endace will IMHO get to control a significant part of the market I can see their probes and fabric becoming the defacto standard. Endace are, however, likely to be sold possibly in the near-ish term 12-18 months maybe, but [IMHO] for a significant premium...and [IMHO] there'll be a battle royal over them. Here's why... The clever thing about the strategy, which we touched on a few weeks ago, is that one Endace probe delivers the high octane 'fuel' (100% of packets *guaranteed* irrespective of line rate or whether that network is wired or wireless) to any - and indeed multiple - application engines simultaneously. And those application engines, which sit on Endace probes, can do all manner of tasks: network analytics, SIEM, forensics, DPI, performance/service assurance etc...in fact any network intelligence or assurance function which require EVERY packet to be captured/recorded and served-up with a nanosecond accurate timestamp. This process/functionalit - Reliability (availability 24-7-365) - Performance (QA, low latency) - Security (guard, watch and shoot) I think Sony are now on the case ;o) Betfair and WoW! got there some time ago | knackers
17/5/2011 20:36 | Knackers and others. Almost time for Endace to change their intro from "A world leader" to "THE world leader" or am I being presumptious? | aspex
17/5/2011 19:47 | Good work knackers. Difficult not to feel excited about the next few years for eda. | mikepompeyfan

17/5/2011 13:31 | Allston Trading selects Endace for high speed monitoring and recording. Interesting tie-up given that a "variety of mission critical applications" are to be deployed in the Application Dock "we're excited to be working with Endace to further tune their proposition to the needs of the HFT community." Hmmm What others have to say about Allston: Eric Schnadig, CEO, Tervela: "Allston Trading is one of the most technologically advanced proprietary trading companies in the world and its vision for how trading strategies need to evolve is a beacon for those firms struggling to address the performance challenges of today's market environment." | knackers
17/5/2011 12:06 | PG Tips: 17 May 2011 Panmure Gordon reiterate their BUY stance on Endace (target price for the moment unchanged at £4.71). The title for this morning's piece on Endace "Hold onto your hats" ;o) Particular mention of smartphone take-up and need for a solution across mobile networks given the increase in attacks on mobile devices. Well now, there's a thing... | knackers
17/5/2011 08:49 | Sounds like the world's first integrated mobile network security system from Endace already has traction. Would expect some sort of announcement, subject to confidentiality of course. Looks significant and material. Another 1st for Endace? Given the explosion in smartphones usage (both retail/consumer and commercial) no solution/visibility here would be a glaring hole in defenses... | knackers
13/5/2011 11:56 | IMO the security paradigm is shifting rapidly to 'watch-and-shoot' from the firewall bunker mentality of 'duck-and-pray'. The reference Neil makes to 'cultural fit' says it all. Both businesses seem to have a similar view of the challenge and take on the shape of the solution - and it's an obvious enough premis: you can't protect yourself from what you can't see! Interesting that Newgen have been a strategic channel partner for Gigamon's GigaVue in the Aus market... | knackers

07/5/2011 12:08 | Indeed Aspex, it looks like they've cracked it. I gather this project was kicked off more than 2 years ago. That's a v substantial R&D effort. I particularly like the customer-as-developm | knackers
07/5/2011 00:30 | Confirmation that they have reached their speed target. It is not in the NZ psyche to claim above what has been achieved. (unlike some competitors may do) | aspex
06/5/2011 17:13 | EndaceExtreme 100Gb/s in Beta test with largest key accounts: "At Endace, we've been actively working in partnership with some of our largest government and financial services customers on the challenge of a 100G solution. Our 100G monitoring and recording system is being beta-tested by some of our customers right now and is due to be generally released later in 2011." | knackers
03/5/2011 09:29 | Interesting new Application Dock partner announced at DoDIIS event - network forensics provider DejaVu and their TrafficScape. A marriage made in heaven - apologies to Wills and Kate ;o) | knackers |
