The power players really have no power at the moment they are in and will not be going anywhere as they have interests to protect. The day to day movement remains in the hands of the small private investors. I am hoping that we see larger non core investors arriving in Atalaya. The wider market is still blind to this share and all the aspirational stuff means nothing at present on the AIM. Once Atalaya is established I think there will be a very different mood.

Warehouse stocks resumed their downtrend after Monday’s ‘third-Wednesday’-related increase. They fell a net 4,500 tonnes to an eight-month low of 289,075 tonnes.

Interesting post from Rocco on iii who attended the EGMHi all loyal investors. It was great to see the full board in place (nine directors), meet Carina Corbett Director of 4C Communications again and most importantly the full senior management team, namely:Alberto (CEO), Julian Sanchez (General Mgr Operations) & David Carrasco (General Mgr Finance). The Rumbo V investors were also present. The resolutions were passed with big majorities as you know. The key thing now is to roll out the communication programme and ensure the often experienced weakness following on from a consolidation is avoided. In EMED's case the story is very strong (ahead of plan & under budget) and there is a receptive audience eager for details of this new major European Copper mining Co.Will we have a new thread under ATYM (AYM on TSX)?In fact Carina told me that many Brokers & Analysts they have meet so far, thought we were still waiting for permits! They are now scabbling to get on board as appointed brokers etc.In January a party of them will visit the mine and some will go beforehand. As you know Alberto is this week in Montreal & Toronto, bringing our North American Investors up to speed helped by Carina's opposite number responsible for North America. In terms of basics, this is where I believe we are:-1. Open Pit Plant commissioning going to plan with completion expected by year end. They are ramping up towards the grade, recovery & production levels targeted.2. 5 mtpa steady state by end of year/Q1.3. Ramp up to 7.5 mtpa Q24. 9/10 mtpa by late 20165. Phase Two expansion also well ahead of schedule & looks like its ahead of schedule & under budget. Commissioning for Phase Two to start late in Q1-2016.6. As we know from Charlieee they are looking at other possible opportunities given many mines are struggling in this market, with no people & no money to develop them. We need new challenges to keep our highly skilled, & motivated senior mgmt team stretched & interested. They are not the sort who just manage a dividend producing steady mining Co!7. The 8m. euro grant is expected by year end.So i reckon & these are my numbers, we will be cash flow positive by Xmas. 5mtpa @ 0.5% Cu con & 80% recovery and a copper price of $2.4 should give us c. $108m pa revenue. I reckon that converts to Net Income of c.£27m or an EPS of 0.077p. So I targeting a share price of 8p by Xmas.Do the maths on 7.5mtpa & 10 mtpa. Do the maths if copper improves from $2.4Finally the current drilling should conclude by year end and we can expect the Reserve/Resource statement during Q1-2016.Alberto is totalled focussed on copper and other minor fringe activities are seen as irrelevant.Hope that helps. All based on my understanding of course. Please DYOR.

I totally agree MDS.

LP, so you are happy that our CEO makes a professional presentation to investors and promises a resource update in 2 weeks but does not deliver. And, here we are many months since that presentation and still no resource update !

For a CEO to deliver such a statement and not fulfil that promise is imo not exceptable.

Actions such as that from a CEO can be very damaging an have a negative effect on potential new investors.

As I've said before, as an operations guy I cannot fault Alberto. I think he is doing a remarkable job.

I cannot say the same of my opinion of Alberto as our CEO.

Looking at our BOD, in particular the most recent appointments, I feel there is a better suited person to take the reigns of CEO, and as MDS suggests I believe and hope it is only a matter of time.

i think most of those on here forget that for years they were saying share price won’t go because we’re waiting for this permit or that permit now we have all permit, what it to do with now ? It to do with better reflects the Company's primary focus, change of name or number of Ordinary Shares that are in issue to a level more in line with comparable AIM and TSX listed companies. The Directors believe that the Consolidation may improve the liquidity and marketability of Ordinary Shares to a wider range of investors, including institutional investors.
But 5/7 months back when we were selling 7 million + a day the price was going down??
This is happening throughout the market so I’m not pulling this out the bag that why institutional investors are not buying because very thing was oversold after 2007 the market has been rigged since then it been like a heart bet monitor .

Acamas it is one thing to be part of it and another to know what you are a part of. Yes I am a small private shareholder (however I do hold more than Alberto who described his own holding as insignificant) but that does not mean that I cannot think like a larger investor. This is a strategy not a gamble. The major investors saw this a long way off and have trod this path before. Change and transition rarely happens how you anticipate but it always happens. Look beyond the detail today and look at the prize. 9-10 mtpa throughput 45000 tons of Copper in concentrate each year. £158m turnover each year. Margins will be healthy in volume.
This is what the large investors are looking at and so am I. Many are simply looking for confidence in the chart. I have said it many times; if Emed were fairly valued I would not be holding as the upside would be limited to simply the value of Copper. I can get that upside simply from buying Copper.

Perversely if Emed were now 15p many would feel more confident. That is the way the mind works and it tells you what kind of person you are. I ignore the chart as it is merely the collective view of many; many are wrong every day. It is the few who do well.

The company want to attract a new private shareholder base. They spent 4 days last week in London promoting the company to substantial private investors and institutions and one hour to small private investors. That tells me the balance they are after. This has nothing to do with Trafigura.
Emed have starved the private investors of information and have rather odd thresholds. They will report commercial production only when ramp up is achieved and they are producing at 5 mtpa throughput. However today they will produce more 40 tons of copper in concentrate; way ahead of schedule. If they wanted to encourage the share price right now they could do. t has been interesting to see the number of larger transactions go through in the last week or so.
To allow for new well informed investors they have to clear some of the dead wood as liquidity is so tight. Consolidation was on the cards for a long time, it has been discussed on here for a long time. Emed is about to be reborn as Atalaya Mining PLC; weeding the fair-weather penny share gamblers is one of their top priorites. Until that happens organic growth cannot occur.

You need to wake up LP !

We both want the same thing, to see our investment here grow.

You happen to believe the way this will happen is by ramping every single day without any substance ! You may attract a few 'small' PI's this way but nothing of any great value.

The way this company will add real shareholder value is by communicating properly to the investing world.

Real investors will want to know the full terms of the off takes, real investors will want to know the size of the resource and the grades. Real investors, who appreciate how to invest don't bury their head in the sand and praise everything their management are doing.

Sometimes management need to be challenged. If not, sometimes they can go offline and forget their real duties, to increase shareholder value for ALL shareholders !

Lanty33 I don't see manipulation, if you have lots of small sells then the MM need to keep a flat book so they bring the price down, then you have lots of small buys they bring the price up. The real issue is both buying and selling are in really small numbers and more critically there have been more sellers than buyers.

If the PI's had held there nerve a year ago the price wouldn't have slid.
But when some want to make a few hundred pounds for selling on a small spike to hope to buy buy back in on the hopeful next drop then we have the issue we have had.
AIM is where people trade and very few invest, FTSE is where investors go, the sooner we can join the FTSE the better !
However for me the biggest key has been diabolical communication for well over a year now and so the LTH and traders have seen little reason to remain with their stakes and their is little news to invite new investors into a growth story, so EMED have created this issue themselves, you could blame Traf etc, but the CEO is responsible for all shareholders and IQ was the start of this communication failure (lets not forget under Harry the share price was a lot higher), I sincerely hope AL is 'properly' address this with 4C when they come fully on board. Otherwise we will languish at these prices until a Divi is announced and then an enticing multiple of the divi will bring in new investors to hopefully a new share price

Mean while keep topping up at these low prices, I am at the end of every month !

" ... We will see a new PR campaign launched with production that will aim EMED at a more mature investor ..."

They are not likely to find 'a more mature investor' at presentations for AIM investors. But list on AIM and that means AIM investors. And the PR campaign won't be aimed at them.

If so, what's the purpose of the AIM listing?

lp,

Please explain in more detail what a "clueless micro investor" is. With 3 billion + shares out there where does one leave micro investor behind and become a "standard investor" and then progress to a "macro investor".

Must say I have come across "clueless macro investors" they are also called fund managers
