Harry for England.

Redknapp, not Kane.

Paying any England manager £4M a year is an outrage, should be a performance basis and the players, big bonuses for each round you get through, whole lot should be pelted with gotten tomatoes like the Italian public have done before when the team has played poorly.

Let's face it England are a second rate team saddled with a third rate manager, who should not have been in the job after the last World cup...

WELL SAID birotop.....you said this a few days ago!

My last comment of the morning. Thanks Iceland for putting us fans out of our misery. Had we won, we'd still be thinking we had a chance of winning it!

Hopefully that's the last we see of Rooney in an England shirt.

If I'm really lucky, United will sell him to China.

"Alan Pardew will be next manager mark my words!!!!"

Don't be in a rush to write my chances off. "Mickey" Mouse. We've never tried a comical cartoon character before.

Apologies I'd forgotten about Graham Taylor and Steve McClaren.

If only we had a population the size of Iceland or Wales to choose from.

"There's no point in looking for excuses"

There is to many foreign player's(foreigner's in country as an whole). It isn't about excuses its about reality, facts..

People like you are deluded, deceptive, foolish...Take your pick?..

I remember England did have a foreign manager once..I don't remember winning any euro's or world cups..I could be wrong and had my head stuck up my rse and missed it..

Shearer: "I went to see the Football Association four or five years ago and said I want the England job. They looked at me and said: 'No, you haven't got the experience'.

"I said you have hired experienced managers, spent a fortune on them and I could not have done any worse."

I've got a gut feeling that those words may come back and haunt him in the future.

Ferdinand: "We've gone for ultimate experience, we've gone for foreign managers. We've now got to go for a young, dynamic manager who knows the young players coming through.

"There's not a person out there that would say no."

No.

There's no point looking for excuses, like there's too many foreigners playing in the premier league. The eleven players who took to the field are highly paid professionals, and have performed well for their clubs.

In the second half in particular, they looked like Sunday league players, (apologies to the Sunday league). Too many miss hit passes. Dreadful delivery at set pieces. Too many players under performed. It's hard to believe these guys have been training together! If you'd taken Sterling and Sturridge off and not replaced them, we'd have not noticed a difference! How Kane got back in the side after his previous lack lustre performances is beyond me.

The bottom line, the difference in desire between the teams was all too clear. Only one team was desperate to win, they fought for every ball, and worked extremely hard as a team. It was just like watching Leicester!

In a way, the early penalty was a problem, the players thought they were going to be able to stroll through to an easy win. But 35 seconds later came an equaliser, and they knew there was a game on. But they didn't rise to the occasion.....they crumbled.

It's France I feel sorry for. They were hoping for an easy passage to the semis, but now they've got to play Iceland instead.

Clearly we need to import more Germanic blood not the other sort. Looks like Brexit is a huge mistake.

Before the tournament, I was very optimistic we would do very well, as we had a young team that had been playing well.

As the tournament progressed, we became worse and worse.

I believe for many other countries, playing for their country is the highlight of their careers. For English players, it seems to be just an inconvenience, as they dont get much money playing for England, and it interferes with their summer holidays.

They are all, to a man, money grabbing mercenaries that don't know how lucky they are.
