Tanzania play takes AIM

Reduce text size Decrease text size Increase text size Increase text size Print article Print Share this article Share Email article to a friend Email Entrepreneur Simon Rollason has reversed coal and uranium hopeful Edenville International into AIM shell Edenville Energy and raised £1 million.

Edenville, formerly East Africa-focused Gemstones of Africa, itself borne of the shell of AIM counter TV Commerce, raised the money at 0.5p a share, with Canaccord Adams as broker and ZAI Corporation as nominated adviser. Rollason, also managing director of another AIM-quoted East Africa minerals concern, Obtala Resources, says the company has secured six exclusive exploration licences from the mining-friendly Tanzanian authorities in the potentially mineral-rich but relatively under-developed southern part of the country.

Edenville says its initial exploration focus will be on licences at Matiri North and Matiri South, not far from a game park where an Australian company recently established a 35 million-lb uranium reserve. The company boasts an experienced team, with well-versed Tanzanian national Javan Bidogo in charge of exploration, and hopes to start drilling this summer, with first drill results hoped for later this year.

Now 0.85p, the shares clearly carry significant risk, but might well repay a bold punt.

An order for 2000.000 shares showing must be a buy at that price.

Quite a lot of announcements on this lately - surprised no more postings here.

The fund raise combined with coming to the end of registration spending is interesting as cash burn should be reducing markedly by the end of another year. The deals they have are with companies that whilst not big names can certainly do a job for them, and the trial results coming through look robust.

I am considering a small investment, and would appreciate any feedback.

Interested in this one, I like the technology and think it could work. Also the business model is sensible.

Do not much about what they have done historically, so any views on that appreciated.

Yes, those are very posotive/ it's just that the usual link:

This has been happily more than doubled in price over the last 3 months. I've held a few for several years but it has fallen off my radar. Any known reason for the increases?
