asmodeus, "factors" not heard of this before. Sounds interesting do post with more details if you rediscover it.

Or...Are you thinking about Capital Gains Tax taper relief?

"Original buying prices"? At reconstruction? Or when you first bought ECWO?

What is wrong with using reconstruction NAV?

@asmodeus - all ISA/SIPP here so can't help, but might be worth contacting the co? They must have been asked the same question. info@ecofin.co.uk

(The reconstruction hasn't entirely worked out as planned really - EGL has kept up ECWO's discount, whilst EFR is no longer hidden away in a much larger portfolio. Not so bad for those who took all cash tho).

Thanks Praipus, but I know there is a way of doing it so that the two shares, egl and efr can be recorded with effective original buying prices, using "factors" which the registrars or stockbrokers are supposed to provide. But I have forgotten how to do it. I don't see how navs could do this.

I used NAV.

Its painful to look at because it shows as a loss when compared to the current market bid, but sufficient for my needs.

Does anybody here know how to account for the reconstruction in a portfolio, please? I.e. although the division into EFR and EGL seems straightforward, there are complications when it comes to the effective cost prices of each.

@hpcg - apology accepted. Interestingly, don't think I've ever had one that hasn't paid out more than the minimum! Selftrade have finally adjusted for it, and it's another 100% cash - so 4 accounts at 3 different brokers been the same. (Selftrade still have EFR as untradeable, buy or sell, & TD still sells only).

SpectoAcc - was it you who mentioned that nominee accounts might get a better deal? In which case I owe you an apology. I have done a lot of corporate actions through assorted nominee accounts and never had result other than the pro-rata terms. It does appear that for partial and optional redemptions that those who run the nominees collectively can effectively pass the redemption allocation from those who default on to those who want more.

I got 100% cash plus 1 for 4 EFR...no EGL. That's with Pershing.

Quite different from your previous interpretation @hpcg.

Still nothing done in ST.

Yes, got my cash, and it all adds up - 135.542 cash for 95% of my shares. So I'm still substantially up even on the shares I bought after the scheme was announced. So happy days.

Hooray, exactly the same happened in 2nd a/c, got 100% cash (& of course the EFR shares). Just Selftrade to go.

Good spot re TD - they've credited me 100% cash at 1.355442. Sounds right, the figure was always going to change by a few decimals. They still won't let me buy more EFR tho. If I sold EFR instead it'd equate to an exit at £1.44 from ECWO.

I can't make the figures add up, maybe I won't get any EGL shares.
If I don't I'm still happy.

Hmm. I had 12000 ECWO shares with TDW and I chose the 100% cash option.
TDW have just credited my account with £16,265.30 and 3000 EFR shares. No EGL shares yet. I'm very surprised because I did not expect to get so much cash.

Yes still waiting for Barclays to credit my account did buy a few the other day at 118p but was unable to buy in ISA as well I am sure it will be sorted out at some point.

"...and CREST payments made to Shareholders 3 October
in respect of Elections for the Cash Exit"

I'd have expected some movement by now but is still the same across 3 a/cs for me, though can trade EFR in two a/cs, buy/sell in one and sell only in the other (TD claiming it's non-ISA'able).

Still nothing across 3 a/cs, or at least same as before - with EFR still deemed unISA-able by TD, but 2 out of 3 a/cs at least allowing purchases. Seems to be a good market in EGL but curious how there were sellers when it first listed, with brokers having not yet done the ECWO adjustment. Big buyer for it in the auction last night.

Also looking out for news on final cash amount, but not sure it'll link to either ECWO, EGL or EFR.

Was hoping for brokers to deal with it today but will probably take a couple of days until they've "received the cash" (ie got round to making the adjustments). Always a giveaway when some do it days in advance of others.

Added Luckymouse BB links for EGL and EFR.

Good news. The NAV of EGL is 140.63p which is better than expected since the ECWO news release was saying on the 19th it was going to be 135.5p.

MMs making hay on EFR with that spread - 10p, or near enough 25%, taking in lots of small sells at 37.2p, and only quoting a fraction under 47p for buys.

AJBell seem to have got the numbers right, but only offering 'provisional' allocations atm - no trading yet possible.
