                  INCO LIMITED ANNOUNCES WEBCAST OF MARCH 12, 2002 
                          PRESENTATION AT CONFERENCE WITH
                    REPRESENTATIVES OF THE INVESTMENT COMMUNITY   

                
Toronto, March 6, 2002 - Inco Limited ("Inco") announced today that it will be 
participating in a conference with representatives of the investment community 
on March 12, 2002 and that its presentation at this conference will be webcast 
on a live, listen-only basis.

Peter C. Jones, Inco's President and Chief Operating Officer, will be making a
presentation on Inco's plans and strategies at the Morgan Stanley Mining, Paper
and Packaging Conference scheduled to be held in New York City over the March 
11-14, 2002 period. This presentation will be webcast on a live, listen-only 
basis through a third-party website. Mr. Jones is expected to speak beginning at 
8:50 a.m. (Toronto time) on March 12, 2002.
