                         FIRST QUARTER 2002 FINANCIAL AND 
                         OPERATING RESULTS CONFERENCE CALL

Toronto, April 4, 2002. Inco Limited announced today that it will Webcast, on a
live, listen only basis, its next regularly scheduled conference call covering
its first quarter 2002 financial and operating results. This Webcast will be
through a separate third party webcasting service, Canada NewsWire Ltd., and is
expected to begin at 2:30 p.m. (Toronto time) on April 17, 2002.

In order to access this Webcast, any person having a computer and Internet
access who is interested in listening to the conference call should enter either
of Canada NewsWire's two current websites, www.newswire.ca/webcast or
www.ql234.com, and test their system at least five minutes prior to the 2:30
p.m. (Toronto time) scheduled start for the call on April 17. Computer systems
must meet certain minimum requirements, including having the capability to

software, as well as having sound card and speakers, and an Internet connection
