               Durlacher Corporation plc to open Scottish office


Durlacher Corporation plc ("Durlacher" or "the Company"), the London-based
investment bank, has appointed Ian McLean, 50, to head up a new Scottish office
for the Company.  The office, based at 40 George Street, Edinburgh, will open
for business on 2 January 2004.
