20/10/2004 19:34 | Yes Gurp I'm glad I never got back into this one now.its like throwing good money after bad.All the hype when Stainforth got on board and his promises of them becoming a major fund manager have come to nothing in the end despite the continual re-organisation.I remember someone at the time he was appointed saying his reputation came before him and they were right... | mitzis
20/10/2004 17:58 | How many times they have had their begging bowl out?????Just cannot imagine just recently they collected £10 million approx from the investors and now the capitalisation is only £13 million approx.....If they have any ethics they should return all that money back to the investors. | quraishim
20/10/2004 17:43 | dmhzx......I agree with u....they are extremely good of what they are doing....incompetent is too good word to describe them. They are retail investors turning in their grave who bought these shares over £10...during the dotcom bubble. | quraishim
20/10/2004 17:36 | Their Old habits die hard......retail investor must have learnt the hard way. | quraishim
20/10/2004 16:46 | mitz - gotcha, remember the old days bouncing around 3p and a few certain of going much higher - wonder where all those bods went or have they simply changed names? post from jan 04: '15.12.03 :+3.5, (131) at the AGM Chief Executive Christopher Stainforth said: "The radical restructuring of Durlacher is now largely completed. We now operate principally in the UK equity markets and I am pleased to report that we have made a positive start to the new financial year. There has been a notable improvement in market sentiment and a general upturn in trading and corporate activity. ' suppose the qu is when does restructing finish? and (re todays rns) why are mangement paid to oversee a company where needless costs are being incurred. don't hold these days but best of luck to those that do. but if they can't be successful in these markets when others have been................ | gurp
20/10/2004 16:24 | This could fall as low as 40p.....what a decline from the £40 plus just a few years ago.. | mitzis
20/10/2004 16:08 | Ah well, that explains the recent downtrend then. ;-)) | tony14
20/10/2004 15:44 | Well we knew the new broom would start to sweep clean and redundancy costs are going to tell. What I would love to know is when this company can stop restructuring and get on with the business in hand. Revenue in last six months was £4.1m and £1.9m six months previous, so we could still see a higher 12 month figure than recently. It just remains to see whether exceptional items for the proposed review and getting rid of Stainforth would be anywhere near the £1.5m charged as exceptionals in the last half year. 11/10/2004 21:21 | Even now the market cap is more than twice the entire turnover. Good to see the salaries posted here. I wonder if Charlie Caplin get £76 k for all the other directorships he holds. I think he has about thirteen altogether, £76K for 1 day every three working weeks. - Nice work if you can get it. | dmhzx
