Surely as far as the remnants of standard oil were concerned BP should never have existed. The ayatollahs should have wiped it off the map. But BP kept getting in somewhere to do some lucrative business and managed to buy up bits of standard oil in America - that must have smarted a little bit?

Still hasnt seen 11400 or 10400 which would make it a shoulder and should take some time too get there.
Expecting bad news in Africa but i thought it was bad enough already but then looking at BP's history which even after Obama's attack over oil spill is a large part of the FTSE, i would expect oil companies to tussle over which type of jihadi/moderate peace luvin only part time head choppin', woman stoning, nice guys to do business with types, they can actually do business with at all.
What else can go wrong or can it be seen only as an opportunity to reshape the middle east around Obama's brotherhood leanings?

No, sense will prevail, maybe a minor correction, unfortunately Arabs are still living in the dark ages, probably where we were in 1450, can't remember who was King then, still it's about time that they all pulled together and started to embrace democracy, it's in their own interests if they wish to have any quality of life especially when most of them earn less than the price of a loaf of bread

Whats the consensus on where the Dow is headed this week? At 10400 its finely balanced.

My gut feeling is that the Dow will rise to 10700/800.

However I see this as a right shoulder with the only way down after this.

Any other thoughts.
