Dmatek: Key US Contract Signed
3 Year Deal Valued at $10-14 million
Dmatek Ltd. ("Dmatek"), the London-listed provider of leading electronic
monitoring technologies, today announces the renewal of a key state level
contract for Pro Tech Monitoring Inc. The new contract with the Florida
Department of Correction is valued at over $10 million, to be received on a
daily lease basis between 2007 and 2010. Planned expansions may increase its
value over time to $14m. Pro Tech Monitoring Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary
of Dmatek acquired earlier this year, operating in the US corrections and law
enforcement market.
The Florida Department of Corrections operates the world largest programme for
active GPS offender tracking since 1997 within its probation programme for
sexual predators and other violent offenders. Pro Tech systems have been
employed as the technology backbone of the programme since its inception.
Yoav Reisman, Dmatek's CEO commented, "We are very pleased with Pro Tech's
success to continue the long term cooperation with the Florida Department of
Corrections, and are further pleased by the solid business progress demonstrated
by Pro Tech since the acquisition." Reisman added: "This contract and other
recent deals mark a clear upward shift in the scope of our business as we
execute our expansion strategy."
Last week, Dmatek announced a deal in Sweden, to supply additional inmate
tracking systems there.
