I like the notion of demonstrations and how to use sessions.
More involved / customer focused / try before you buy approach and if smell of food wafting around too tickling the senses then all power to them.

Good move from Katie Bickerstaffe imo. Us men can drool over (and hopefully buy) the electronic gadgets and TVs etc while the women go off and look at all the kitchen stuff ;-)
Hopefully more business for Dixons and a sales angle that AO cannot find a way to match. Even better with Carphone Warehouse on board selling all the latest phones in store too.

Dixons climbed 3 per cent to 48p after Merrill Lynch upgraded to "buy".
A valuation of less than 13 times next year's earnings underestimates Dixons' competitive strength in the Nordics and under-appreciates possible synergies from a merger with Carphone Warehouse , it said. Carphone added 2.1 per cent to 324.4p.

Agree 50p is highly likely very soon.

Deal almost certainly in the bag now imo, would be pretty embarrassing for both parties if they failed at this late stage.

A combined ptp forecast for next year of at least £330m plus cost savings and benefits from the merger would be worth what market cap ? Combined market cap is £3,627m atm.

I'm looking at all those broker targets of 60+ again and thinking maybe, just maybe ;-) I see there's been no new broker forecasts since 28th Feb. Should be a deluge of them in a couple of weeks.
