DataLogic to Offer Subscribers Free In-Network Domestic and International
Calling Plan
IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DataLogic International, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: DLGI; Berlin Stock Exchange: 779612) today announced that
it will launch a program to offer its subscribers free in-network domestic and
international calls. Calls made to domestic locations outside the network will
cost 3.9 cents per minute.
The Company plans to launch this program sometime in early December. To take
advantage of this program, subscribers are required to use DataLogic IP-
Phones(TM). Calls made between two parties anywhere in the world using the
IP-Phones(TM) will be free of charge. Calls made to US destinations outside of
the network will cost 3.9 cents per minute. The cost will vary for other
international destinations.
Unlike other PC phones, DataLogic's IP-Phones(TM) are digital and have excellent
sound quality. It works well even with a slow dial-up connection. Based on the
model, the phones can be connected to the Internet via a USB or Ethernet port.
It can make and receive calls to and from conventional phones.
The Company recently announced free domestic and international long distance
calling via local access numbers. The new program will allow subscribers to
essentially make the same free calls from places where local access numbers are
not available.
"Consumers will soon have another option to make high quality domestic and
international long distance calls free of charge using our VoIP technologies,"
said Keith Nguyen, DataLogic's President. "This program will effectively lower
communication cost which should allow people to stay closer in touch with their
friends, relatives and business contacts anywhere in the world. "
