DataLogic International Appoints Sales Management Veteran Doug Klein as Vice President of Sales

IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 22  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DataLogic International, Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: DLGI; Berlin, Frankfurt Stock Exchange: 779612) a provider of consulting services and communication solutions including GPS-based mobile asset tracking, secured mobile communications and VoIP, today announced the appointment Doug Klein to the position of Vice President of Sales.

Mr. Klein will spearhead sales and distributor recruitment initiatives in connection with BounceGPS, the Company's cost-effective, complete vehicle and mobile asset tracking solution for commercial and government customers. Revenues from BounceGPS are expected to exceed $10,000,000 over the next 12 months.

Mr. Klein will be instrumental in formulating and executing sales initiatives nationally.  He will be responsible for all Company sales personnel and will direct sales staff training and development.

Additionally, he will have functional responsibility for sales, deployment and training of distributors nationwide.  The distributor recruitment effort will initially target such business sectors as rental equipment, construction equipment, collateral financing, fleets and rental cars, among others.  These relationships are expected to expand the Company's overall sales efforts by leveraging the sector-specific knowledge of the distributors chosen.

Doug Klein has over 25 years of sales and sales management experience in a variety of industries.  Most recently, he was named Executive Vice President of Sales at CBSi in July, 2005.

Previously, he was a sales manager for Dex Media, the official publisher of the Qwest Dex Yellow Pages and online advertising solutions.  The unit he managed at Dex Media produced revenues in excess of $180 million per year.

During his 18-year tenure there, he was responsible for sales training, local marketing, and sales management.  He was instrumental in various successful new product launches, including the first bilingual directories in Dex Media's region.  He also championed the successful initiative to add online advertising solutions to traditional directories.
