      solutions, today announced that it will provide Children's 
      Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), one of the nation's top children's 
      hospitals, with a solution based on Kofax Intelligent Capture & 
      Exchange, the centerpiece of Kofax’s strategy 
      to help organizations streamline business processes. The value of the 
      contract to Kofax is more than $200,000.
    
    
      The solution is based on Kofax Ascent® 
      Capture, the world's leading automated information capture platform. It 
      will reduce the time and improve the accuracy of data that is collected 
      and extracted from Explanation of Benefits (EOB) insurance forms that 
      are entered into the CHOC Patient Financial System. Processing EOBs is a 
      particularly challenging application due to the presence of large 
      amounts of highly variable data and individual patient payment detail 
      items within each form.
    
    
      With typical EOB forms reaching up to hundreds of pages in length, it is 
      critical to implement a solution that ensures data accuracy, addresses 
      security concerns and is versatile enough to handle a wide array of 
      detailed, multi-page forms. The Kofax Ascent platform enables EOB forms 
      to be processed more efficiently, accurately and cost-effectively, 
      resulting in improved internal payment cycles within large healthcare
