Kofax, a global leader of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions, today announced that it has signed an agreement with TeamHealth, the nation’s largest provider of hospital-based clinical outsourcing, to provide distributed capture solutions based on Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange, the centerpiece of Kofax’s strategy to help organizations streamline business processes by capturing documents in the front office, where they originate, and moving such information in real-time to transactional business processes. The distributed capture solutions will include key elements of Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange, including Kofax Ascent® Capture, the world’s leading automated information capture platform, and will be installed by Kofax Certified Solution Provider, South Carolina-based KeyMark. Kofax is a key component of the overall business process automation strategy designed by KeyMark which also incorporates Hyland Software’s OnBase workflow process automation. As a result of this agreement, TeamHealth expects to significantly expedite the processing of its patient and billing records as well as those of its client hospitals. A paperless environment will positively impact the revenue cycle by enhancing operational efficiencies and shortening turnaround times. “We continue to see strong demand among organizations in paper-intensive market segments like healthcare that must successfully marry paper- and electronic-based business environments,” said Andrew Pery, chief marketing officer, Kofax. “The agreement with TeamHealth demonstrates that our innovative information capture and exchange solutions can help to increase customer service for our clients, while making a positive impact on the bottom line.” For more information about Kofax Intelligent Capture & Exchange, please visit http://www.kofax.com.
