                    Announcement of Third Quarterly Dividend
                       For the year ending 30th June 2002


Third Quarterly Dividend

The Board has declared a third quarterly dividend of 1.52p net per share which
will be payable on 25th June 2002 to all holders of Ordinary Shares on the
Register of Members at the close of business on 24th May 2002. This payment is
the same as that paid for the equivalent period last year, reflecting the
Board's continued caution concerning the outlook for dividend growth. The
revenue reserves in the audited accounts for the year ended 30th June 2001 are
1.62p per share.
