Thanks, Homer. Yes, it's time I had another look at CLEA.

Take a look at ClearDebt for a similar up and coming IVA specialist firm. They do provide plenty of info on their site. EPIC = CLEA

I think that this and any other IVA/Debt management co will do very well over the next 2-5 years.

Take a look at the ClearDebt thread ( ) for plenty of stats & info about UK Debt and the rate at which we borrow (£1 million every 4 mins) and our inability to pay it all back...........

Cheers,
HJS.

I agree that it is a good sector to be in, spiv. The reason I asked was that I have not been able to find any firm information about this company at all, so I really don't know whether it is cheap or expensive.

Just a hunch really Diogenes. Debtmatters has more than double the market cap of this one and I seem to remember reading in the Times that debt.co.uk has a fair market share of this sector so hence potential upside. Also i think (hope) that a lot of investors will be attracted to this as a hedge against economy meltdown which doesn't look that improbable if you read predictions coming out at the moment on UK interest rates etc. All imho of course.

Maybe so, spiv: but what do you base your valuation on (if anything)?

Looks like an institution has been buying stock. I should imagine we will get some sort of trading update in the next month or so. Given the sector I should imagine it will be pretty bullish. Hopefully we will then see a run to the 230p mark

Yes, frustrating. Incredible that no information is available on this one esp. with a market cap of 38 million.

A note in this week's IC says that Debts has been criticised for having no non-exec directors. "It's extremely unusual," said Invesco Perpetual fund manager Andrew Crossley, according to the IC. "To my mind, it has the impression of being a rushed job." But Debts CE P.Carter wittily riposted: "We didn't want [to be] forced to go and find non-execs who didn't have the right skill sets."

No forecasts, f2, but the IC comments that debt companies are popular with investors and this one should 'fare well' (a slightly ambiguous turn of phrase imo).

The odd thing is that not only are there no forecasts, but there doesn't seem to be any other information publicly available at all, not even an RNS on the first day of dealing. There is no investor relations area on their website either. This suggests to me that knowledge of what is required of a public company does not feature among the 'skill sets' of the existing directors, and that even one non-exec with some relevant experience might not have been a bad idea.
