                      Deltron Electronics plc ("Deltron")

                    Recommended offer for Deltron by Abacus
                                 Court Hearing

The boards of Abacus and Deltron are pleased to announce that, at a Court
Hearing today, the Court sanctioned the Scheme of Arrangement and confirmed the
reduction of capital comprised within the Scheme. The Scheme and the Acquisition
are expected to become effective on 17 January 2006 on registration of an office
copy of the Court Order by the Registrar of Companies.

Dealings in the New Abacus Shares issued to Deltron Shareholders pursuant to the
Scheme are expected to commence at 8:00 a.m. on 17 January 2006. Today is the
last day of dealings in Deltron Shares and it is expected that the Deltron
Shares will be delisted at 8:00 a.m. on 17 January 2006. The Scheme Record Date
is 6:00 p.m. today.

Terms used in this announcement shall have the same meaning as in the Prospectus
dated 22 November 2005 which was sent to Abacus Shareholders and Deltron
Shareholders.
