                      Deltron Electronics plc ("Deltron")

                    Recommended offer for Deltron by Abacus


Further to the announcement dated 26 October 2005 regarding the recommended
offer for Deltron by Abacus, the Boards of Abacus and Deltron announce that the
formal documents relating to the Acquisition are being posted to shareholders
today. The Acquisition is to be effected by way of a scheme of arrangement.


Abacus shareholders will receive a circular, convening an extraordinary general
meeting of Abacus on 15 December 2005 to approve the Acquisition, together with
a prospectus containing financial information relating to Abacus and Deltron and
pro forma financial information relating to the Enlarged Group.


Deltron shareholders will receive a circular containing details of the scheme of
arrangement  and convening an extraordinary general meeting and a Court Meeting
of Deltron on 15 December 2005 to approve the Acquisition, together with a copy
of the Abacus prospectus.

* These dates are indicative only.


The London Stock Exchange will be requested to cancel the trading in Deltron
Shares on its market for listed securities with effect from the close of
business on 16 January 2006 and the UK Listing Authority will be requested to
cancel the listing of Deltron Shares from the Official List with effect from
8.00 a.m. on the Effective Date.
