Transactions in Own Shares

Da Vinci CIS Private Sector Growth Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that
on 30th September 2008 it purchased 14,300,000 participating preference shares
of US$0.01 each at a price of $1.01 per share. This represents 12.15% of the
issued share capital of which 10% will be held in treasury and 2.15% will be
cancelled.  Accordingly 11,484,188 shares are now held in treasury and
2,815,812 shares have been cancelled.

The issued share capital of the Company is now 114,841,880 participating
preference shares of US$0.01 each of which 11,484,188 shares are held in
treasury.

Accordingly, the current issued share capital consists of 103,357,692
participating preference shares of US$0.01 each (excluding those shares held by
the Company in treasury). Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator
for the calculations by which they may determine whether they are required to
notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under
the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
