02/11/2020 14:12 | The shop near me is open until 10:00pm now (until Thursday at least) | jondev
16/10/2020 08:53 | AO now worth more than DC! | tim 3
15/10/2020 10:49 | From AO "The last six months have been like no other" Bodes well for DC. | tim 3
07/10/2020 08:53 | Suspect sales are strong hence the rise, particularly online.People are doing lots of DIY work and spending money on stuff for the home rather than going out and holidays. | tim 3
05/10/2020 12:30 | It’s the same in a lot of shops now the showroom often only has the less popular lines in as the popular ones have sold out and only available online. | tim 3
05/10/2020 12:19 | I have noticed on recent visits that they are becoming more of a showroom with very little stock in store . Not a single printer in the mega store near me but they can order them in quite quickly . The trouble is nobody knows until after they have waited on a long queue only to find out they then have to come back to pick up things . Hope this isn't the way things are going to end up . . . | jondev
30/9/2020 13:01 | Probably because you posted it over 100 times! | tim 3
23/9/2020 21:24 | Takes less than a minute to action a card refund no excuse for delay. | tim 3
23/9/2020 16:01 | The Long Wait, very long wait indeed for some and never get through for some others: If one writes to Curry's they will send back a letter saying to phone the same telephone number. Must be very difficult for elderly, partially deaf etc., If ordered originally online the store will not resolve the matter. ---- I've had far better service as far away as Canada and New Zealand. A matter in Hong Kong was resolved five times quicker. | noirua
22/9/2020 20:58 | Curry's still owe considerable sums to customers that should have been returned. They have the coronavirus excuse but have failed to return monies in accordance to the law. This may have helped them retain sufficient cash within the company. Your refund rights explained Even if you are within your rights to receive a refund, that does not mean the shop or seller will immediately play ball, you may have to work to get your money back. You can consider claiming via your credit card company. | noirua
17/9/2020 15:14 | Thanks Tim3 & Velvetide I didn't know they sold via Ebay but excellent marketing! Shorter Link to the article: hxxps://ukinvestorma Growth driven by Online Sales through various marketing channels including Ebay. Also, interesting to to see the 115% & 49% increases for Greece & Nordic countries. Good to see they aren't just relying on the unpredictable U.K. market with an Eu exit deal still Not completed. | commuter10
17/9/2020 09:52 | I've been upgrading my IT and have had great experiences ordering from DC / Currys / PCW via Ebay, good quality items well packed and delivered within days rather than the promised 7 - 10 days. Didn't rush or even think to post on Trust Pilot although I see their Ebay rating is 98.4%. Due to bad / unsatisfactory experiences with other slightly lower priced vendors on Ebay, I decided to stick with DC if they stock what I'm after. | velvetide
16/9/2020 20:29 | And there are some nice shiny new consoles coming to market from Sony and Microsoft which should help sales | jondev
16/9/2020 19:26 | Wow thats really interesting thanks for posting. The reason its not effected shares is probably down to the fact that mobile is loss making and I think the city expect it to stay that way for some time. Interestingly when Baldock came he said he would turn round mobile and get much better deals from mobile operators and so far he has lost 3 of them. Three 02 and now EE. How they can still claim to give the best deals by being impartial when they have lost 3 operators is beyond me. I suspect something is going on here that we don't know about probably them throwing in the towel with mobile and just having it as another (much smaller) department instore. | tim 3
16/9/2020 12:33 | I just don't get this stock? EE not renewing their 20 year relationship and government withdrawing duty free status at airport shops and the stock goes up?? | 1224saj
14/9/2020 11:04 | Afternoon All. Just seen this very positive report in my Inbox. Up 9% last Thursday. hxxps://ukinvestorma | commuter10
13/9/2020 23:02 | Especially when you see AO and Argos, both competitors have a massive majority of customers scoring them excellent the opposite of Currys. Just today Currys had 1 excellent review and 16 poor ones! | tim 3
13/9/2020 20:23 | Trust Pilot on Currys / P C World = BAD The reviews are the worse I've ever read about a large company. From personal experience it is as bad as reported. I will certainly never purchase from the company again. | noirua
10/9/2020 07:22 | Nice results. | babbler
09/9/2020 08:30 | On a more positive note Best Buy in the states which has a very similar business model which Dixons follows very closely recently released very strong numbers, all be it with cautious guidance and seem to have some good ideas about adapting to the "new world" internet model.Lets hope DC can do the same so many jobs at risk if they don't. | tim 3
09/9/2020 07:13 | The overheads are being cut. 4 stores are going Dark in a trial to emulate the AO model. They will be warehouse operations with live web sales.More redundancies and less shop space - also same day delivery being trialled | jsforum
09/9/2020 00:18 | Sad, but well put Tim. I completely agree. | bluecash |
