Non-Executive Director Appointment
Coventry Building Society announces that Iain Plunkett will join its Board as Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Board's Technology Oversight Committee on 1 July 2024. Iain has over 30 years of leadership experience within the financial services industry and during his extensive career has served across business transformation, technology, and operational roles. In his most recent Executive role as the Chief Operating & Transformation Officer at Santander, Iain successfully led a complex, whole business restructuring. His other previous roles have included Group Managing Director at UBS Group & Investment Bank, Managing Director at Barclays and Group COO and CIO of Aberdeen Asset Management.
Iain currently serves on the Board of Citi Group Global Markets Limited as Non-Executive Director and is a leadership advisor and coach at Pelham Street. In addition, he works with clients of McKinsey, as a Senior Advisor, in matters of transformation and change.
